I peruse this forum from time to time and note, though I concede I am limited to certain areas, that the official posters on this site seem to be jolly nice people.
Not including the guest posters obviously, but they hardly count anyway.
I would, if this forum is still activating members, consider joining in the near future when holidays, hobbies, and having a damn good time in the real world, permits.

Yes we have some lovely members on here.
Happily though, we often disagree on many subjects (most are debated away from the Whine) this is definately not a Stepford forum.

But if you could have any posters on this forum past or present , who would you choose?

Bighead.
I dont think anyone ever remembers my favourite poster.
When I first joined the Mirror forum in 2007 a lovely lady poster called Beamglow took me under her wing.
When that forum closed suddenly ( I think for a short time afterwards the pm system still worked) but anyway, she told me she would never join another forum, and as far as I know she never did.

I really try to keep in touch with my ex DS (me being banned) forum friends even though most simply do not want to know - but what can you do?
I have some honour, it's simply a matter of respect.

If they dont want to know they are not friends are they?
I do think people can make mates online, there are quite a few I like and respect, some I haven't even posted with for years (like Poca for eg) who I know if we ever post on the same forum will just take up where we left off.
I know it works for some, but I have never mixed forum mates with real life mates....dont see the point, they are two separate entities imo.

I have a few really good friends who I have met up with a few times we stay at each others home's But most have drifted away, a few of those due to my wanting to leave the EU.. I don't actually get that. We have a different view on the EU so cant be friends. Its bizarre.

Well if you leave a forum and still keep in touch with a few of the posters on your hotmail, that's not bad going.

Thats the problem with social media, forums etc, we dont know what problems or worries people have in real life when they post online, maybe if we did we would be kinder to people.
That's not directed at anyone specifically, it's just a general observation.
