You see vote Donald Trump out, declare Biden the next President and then Wu-Flu disappears or becomes controllable. It is like we live in predictable times. I will probably head off to Wigan Pier.

Looking forwards to seeing dear friends again. It's been torture not popping round for a natter or going out for lunch.

I will be going to Hell if (I am not there already).

Nowhere much, except to see relatives. Maybe a Wetherspoons. :bounce: It's too much hassle in there even when it's open at the moment. Things aren't really that different for me, except I have to be careful not to mingle with more than one person outside. If I'm with one person and another one arrives, I'm not sure how far we have to move away to be not "in a group".

I will buy you a pint - of vodka.

Oh thank you - I might end up under a table though.

It's a bit too soon for everyone to start rejoicing about this vaccine just yet.
Yes, and for people to know it works they have to stop using masks and social distancing - can't see that happening for a long time.
Indeed and also for many of the selfish people this news will just be an excuse to flout the rules even more which is a worry.

Being cautiously optimistic, I am hoping by early summer next year we may be safe to travel around again.
If not, at least a bit of hope now has lightened the mood, and I think many of us needed that.

Unlike most people who know exactly where they will be...probably the same place they have been in for months.

I imagine I'll be in the same 75 mile radius.
I need to go see my two daughters who live out of town. They both have new houses and I've seen neither one. But with my mom having Covid, I don't see my wandering too far anytime soon. More likely they will be taking a trip back home.
But I remain confident. She's a tough old gal. It's just that she's in such bad shape from 10 days in the hospital from the UTI.

A lady of 106 recovered well from the virus here, so hopefully your mum will beat it.
It must be a very worrying time for you and your family though, but no doubt you will all support each other, good luck.

Thanks folks.
It's not looking good though. She's just too weak from everything else she has fought before catching Covid in the hospital.
I can't visit her yet. I think I can when it's down to the very end.
I did have a nurse friend "gown up" today and go in her room and the 3 of us faced time for a few minutes.
She is barely conscious at this point and not eating.
Waiting on a call from the nurse in charge right now.
Seems, now a possible vaccine has been found that at last can tackle the coronavirus, we can at last look forwards to the new year with more optimism.
After so many cancelled holidays, where are you looking forwards to visiting...hopefully very soon?
This is where I will be, should have been back there months ago, but God willing, soon.
