The disappearance of Sarah Everard as she was walking home from a friends house around 9pm on the 3rd of March has prompted many women to challenge the way women are still not able to walk alone in the dark for fear of male abuse or attack. This is a male problem just as much as a female one.

More coppers on the streets would help, but it wouldn't solve the problem.
Men have to be made aware that this is their problem as much as the womans. keeping men off the streets is ludicrous, it has to start with attitude. Men have to be aware that many women are afraid if they are out at night alone, so even a simple action like crossing the street so as not to be walking behind her would help.

Men have to realise that the way they act affects not only women, but other men.
The majority of men dont want to cause alarm just because they are male, so they must stop perpetuating the speaking to or about women in a sexually demeaning way as if they are lesser beings.
Statistics show 90% of women have suffered some kind of sexual abuse, from being verbally sexually abused, groped, flashed, to the worst of crimes of rape and murder....by men.

As far as I know...and I am sure I would know, no one has pestered anyone (in this forum) via pm and then turned nasty if they have been rejected. Humour is subjective The Carry on, Benny Hill type of humour is not very pc, but imo it's harmless.
On a couple of occasions , one very recently, a degrading photo has been removed, and I agree 100% about the sexist language aimed at women.

But because it's an inherent sexual drive, I doubt very much it'll ever truly go away, it just gets buried by societal restrictions and the level of intelligence and compassion of the male. I agree with all that, one of the very reasons I never let a man buy me a drink when I was out with friends. Some men have always thought that once a drink, or God forbid a meal has been paid for, the woman is in debt.
Women are now openly protesting that they are even afraid to go outside at night or walk in isolated places at any time because of the fear they will be attacked.
They want the same rights as men do, to feel safe from sexual predators when they are out.

They took that off the streets back in the late 1980s, I think. My husband was a policeman when they used to walk the streets. At that time they were alone.
I remember he told me that one night, around 3am in the morning, he was patrolling up and down the deserted High Street, you could have heard a pin drop, he said. A serene, silent lovely peaceful time of the day. Those were the days when full uniform was that ghastly tit helmet. As he strolled along, he got a terrible attack of wind. As was his propensity, he stopped, lifted a knee to waist height then forced out an almighty prolonged fart that sounded like a firework. It reverberated off the buildings and echoed satisfactorily into infinity up the street. Just as he was lowering his leg, some bloke, who must have been coming up behind, overtook him and scurried past. I laughed til I cried when he told me that.
Now, these days that would have been YouTube gold!

To be honest, men have to run the gauntlet of being attacked in different ways.
