I'm not particularly enamored with the song, but it's number one on the Texas country charts, so it's very recent...

It's OK, easy listening. It reminds me of the way Keith Urban puts over a song. For some reason he is played a lot over here in the last year or so, I love his style.

Keith is getting played a lot over there, because mainstream country is now basically pop music.

It's coming. Nashville is put out shitty enough music now that even the Brits will like it. 😉

I think we turn out more great groups, solo artists and good music in general than you lot do.

That was probably true in 1964 through about 1974. Especially relative to your population.
I pay no attention to pop music, and I don't even know if they make anything folks would call rock music anymore. But who are the Brits who are charting music like they used to?
Not that charting music makes you great in my humble opinion.

I don't follow the charts either, I listen to a variety of music, but I tend to agree that whoever is making music now probably won't be around in 20 or 30 plus years time like the artists of the past, some of who's music is still fresh.
We live in a throwaway society, and that includes most of the music being churned out today.
I think artists like Adele will stand the test of time.

She's very talented. I never listen to her stuff, but I can appreciate her talent.
Kind of like Whitney Houston was..I never really , listened to her, but when I saw her perform something, her ability to sing was phenomenal.
Sort of like Pavarotti back in the day. I don't like opera, so I'm not.going to have any on my musical play list. But I can appreciate talent even if I don't really enjoy it.

She had the style, the looks, and obviously the voice, unfortunately her personal life ruined every gift she had, including her child.
This video, of her first hit, showed what a brilliant talent she was.

This girl had sublime talent, unfortunately her scumbag boyfriend and father were far more interested in making money and exploiting Amy than helping her.
