...is ill at Balmoral, and all her family are gathering around, so it can't be good.
Let's hope she recovers but it's not looking good. After losing her strength and stay, Philip, and all the shite dished out by Meghan and Harry, and Andrew's shennanigans, I'm sure it's all taken a toll. She's 96 and I don't think she'll see 97.
God love her. She's been with us since most of us can remember.

I’m glued to CNN right now - tbh, I’m surprised by how deeply saddened I am by the news that she seems to be fading fast.
I hope her condition takes a turn for the better - against all odds (and if that’s her wish).
Love Her Maj! There will never, ever be another quite like her.

It's an odd thing the Monarchy, because half of you thinks they are a load of privileged toffs and the other half feels that they are such an integral part of Britain, almost like its beating heart, that to dispense with them would be unthinkable. They are, and have always been, a part of our culture.
The Queen has been the most self sacrificing member of the Royal family. I know most of us think shaking hands and opening ceremonies and making speeches etc is an easy way to make a multi million pound living. But the reality is much different. It's not a job I'd like to do, always being under scrutiny, never being able to publicly defend yourself, having to smile and keep stoic in the face of grief and disaster. The only person who comes close to the Queen in this respect is Anne.
Charles as King? I don't think he's a bad person but he's not really in touch with reality a lot of the time and doesn't know when to keep his gob shut.
Personally, I think William will make a better King than Charles.

I don’t think Charles is a bad person either, Diggs. But I do think he’s a very weak, undisciplined man, who is temperamentally & woefully unfit to wear the crown - & all that entails - with the dignity & (apolitical) class his mother managed to for 7 decades.
As an aside, cant help feeling glad she lived long enough to host Biden for her last POTUS‘ state visit, and not the Papaya Pol Pot!

Her Majesty has been a constant presence in all our lives and has devoted her life to her country. I hope she recovers but the news her children and William are all making their way to Scotland doesn't look good.
God Save The Queen.

Codenamed "Operation Unicorn" is the plan that will take effect should her Majesty pass away here in Scotland.

They've had this in place for some years, and all the photos of Charles and William for the new coinage. Apparently, Charles hates his right side and only wanted his left side photographed for that...

The Queen looked incredibly frail when she met Liz Truss a couple of days ago, yet still she smiled and did her duty.
It doesn't look good that so many of her family have gathered, or plan to travel to Balmoral.
I am not a royalist, but certain members of the family, notably Diana, and most definitely the Queen, stand out as special. Like Digger said, she has been around for all our lives, she deserves respect for the way she has ruled since she was a young girl herself.

He's very vain when it comes to getting his photo taken.
Apparently he insisted Diana wore flat shoes in official photos of the two of them because if she wore heels it made her taller than him. 🙄

The BBC are speaking in such sombre tones...say there is now 'profound concern' over the Queen's condition.
All her children are now with her.
This is horrible really, like waiting for sad news of a relative or friend.

I think that's for the best. This event doesn't need her bringing her drama.

A wise decision. Also, it's my bet she can't face them all en mass for all the fucking lies she's told.

The BBC are now saying she died this afternoon before some of her family arrived to be with her...that's sad.
Charles and Anne were already in Scotland, so presumably they managed to be at her side as she passed.
RIP Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth 11.

I'm not supposed to be impacted by this because I'm a bloody yank, but I am.
In a world increasingly dominated by classless people, she was an exception and a throwback to a different time.
In many ways, probably better.

This is the effect she has on folks. She was this kind of foundation rock upon which British culture stood. Always there, often unseen and unfelt, but there.
