Nothing has changed. 100 plus degrees and no rain.
We are turning to dust..

It absolutely bounced down here last night...puddles everywhere this morning.
Wind got so strong, it has blown some washing off the line.
We have a huge tree in the back garden, it has started to lean...we cant get a tree surgeon to come and look at it for a couple of weeks. I am dreading getting the really strong winds we had a few months ago.
If this tree fell, it would flatten at least two other peoples gardens,,,,and that's the best case scenario.

We are at 55 days without rain, which is the 5th longest streak since we started keeping records.
The record is 84 days. August is our driest month, so we could break it.
Without a hurricane in the Gulf, it's quite likely.

Yeah, trees are expensive to have removed. I've heard of people paying $2,000..

Yep....we will get a couple more quotes, but I expect they will all come up around the same mark.

I got bloody soaked this morning!!
I checked out the back door and then nipped up the stairs to put my trainers and jacket on and came down and put Daisy's harness on her, opened the front door and it was pouring.
Now the highlight of Daisy's day is her walks and I knew how disappointed she would be if I had said "walks cancelled" and closed the door, so I took her out.

My neighbours son is priceless.
His dad hung washing out and the lad goes out in his smalls after his shower, takes his things off the line and puts them on.

Very warm today, I was trying to cool Daisy down by giving her a wee sook of my ice pole, she didn't like it.
I would have thought Slush Puppie would have been perfect!!🐾

A good start to August.
Started out rather cold in Scotland yesterday but was lovely and sunny in the afternoon.
I had to chase Daisy round the garden to put sunblock on her ears.
I suppose i could get her a sunhat.
Nice but wouldn't solve the problem.
Oh she's a darling V 😁
