I had many a steamy dance with my boyfriend to this tune back in the day.
Why do these rock chick types pick really moose ugly men?

Some of the pretty ones are often the dumbest.
If you want to spend years with a bore that's fine if you want to spend years with a selfish git or useless git that's fine too.
If the person you find makes you laugh sticks by you through thick and thin and is interesting then I think looks will always come second in the queue.
Not all men can be as handsome and intellectually and emotionally strong as me.

Ugh. My retort would have been "I wouldn't fuck you with somebody else's, Serge."

Walked in just as they started playing this song. Then she did some Pretenders, Fleetwood Mac, Tom Petty and some folks y'all probably never heard of.
Got a great southern voice. I bet she does country songs too. She did this song brilliantly.

Speaking of Dusty Springfield (in another thread) this blast from the past, was probably Dusty's last British TV appearance. Still brilliant, more than three decades after her heyday...she was diagnosed with cancer and died soon afterwards. Sadly missed.

The backing group isn't too shabby either.

The beautiful and charismatic Francoise Hardy has died today. I heard this song when I was a kid, and have loved it ever since.
Nostalgic and still sounds fresh....and I bet no one here has ever heard of her.
RIP Francoise Hardy.

One of the most haunting ballads of the 60's....we had some great music to grow up to.
Apparently she inspired Mick Jagger, who had a long time crush on her back in the day.

She was beautiful. Yes we had great songs then, not the rap rubbish they got now.

So i came out of a 25 year relationship at the end of last year. It was really tough and i fought so hard to save it but the both of us were pulling in completely different directions so it was time to let go but we speak all the time on the phone and remain as good friends.
Ive relocated to Newcastle/North Tyneside from where my family on my mothers side are from and i'm living in my brothers big house and i have another brother here and a nephew and niece.
To say that it was a good move is an understatement. The people are more friendly than London but my brothers Sprocker Spaniel dog has been the key to getting me out over the very many large open spaces and the countryside. Where as i was very unfit and get enough exercise that has now changed for the better.
My brother has just found out that he has been made redundant from his banking job and has been struggling as he has been there since leaving.
We are now working on a joint venture that with his redundancy money would beneifit us both financilly.
Motto is never give up. When one door closes then another will open
