I loved Dallas, I thought Victoria Principal was beautiful.
It's a pity she messed with her face so badly, (and attributed her new looks to the face creams she was flogging) I bet had she left nature to her own devices, she would have grown older still looking lovely. Linda Gray, Sue Ellen, agedmore naturally and still looks good in her 80's..

I treated myself to the boxset of Dynasty!!
I bought it with some of my Christmas dosh!!
Nine seasons of shoulder pads and drama.
It's sheer escapism, I'll watch it soon.
Only I also received a book set and I'm on book three already, can't put the books down.
Katerina Diamond's 'Imogen Grey series'
😍
Cor I remember that in the 80's. I was glued to that and Dallas.
I never watched Dallas.
I think it clashed with something my dad watched.
Just think, back then we had four channels, now we have four thousand!!

I can mind me and my brother getting a wee black and white television for our bedroom and being over the moon.
It had one of those wee fiddly ariels, used to take us ages to get a picture.
Now you can watch things on tiny wee screens.

I had to share a bedroom with my brother till I was seventeen.
The council kept offering shitholes when my mum and dad complained.
Only got things moving when they went to our MP.
John Smith, he was a lovely man and would be ashamed at the Labour party today.

A word to the younger generation:
Your grandmother wore very mini mini skirts, tall boots, and bell bottom jeans.
She went to Led Zeppelin, Janis Joplin, Fleetwood Mac, and The Rolling Stones concerts.
She drove a mini car, rode motorcycles, and fast scooters.
She used to smoke and drink whiskey and gin & tonics.
She would sneak in at 4 am and still make it to work the next day.
So as cool as you think you are... you'll never be as cool as your grandma!!

I bought Shorty a interactive ball.
Press a wee button and it whizzes about.
It's most amusing and it's keeping her amused.

Shein are getting a lot of stick about the way they employ people for almost slave labour wages and conditions. I remember years ago, Primark came under fire for employing illegal workers (not only in China either, they had factories in the centre of Manchester) I stopped shopping there, but tbh, unless we research every place we buy from, how would we know which places use fair labour?
Even M&S, who have long advertised their ethical labour policies, are now being criticised for exploiting their workers.
"Workers in Indian, Bangladeshi and Sri Lankan factories, all producing clothes for M&S, were found to be earning around half of what would constitute a healthy living wage in each region. Sri Lankan factory workers were found to be working up to 100 hours overtime a month during months with high production quotas."
Lots of good bargains Mags and the stuff usually arrives in just under 10 days.

Marks used to boast all their stuff was British made but more and more is from Bangladesh.
I bought nice Spencer Bear and Percy Pig slippers of Marks in the sale.
They was well, some slippers go all funny and the insoles end up lumpy.

Marks have advertised for years that their stuff is all 'fair trade', not according to some reports.
I doubt whether many manufacturers use British companies now to make clothes. Too many customers want cheap throwaway fashion, and the minority who pay for the really expensive stuff, use it for decades and dont replace.
