66 Rangers fans were killed that horrendous day in Glasgow as they tried to leave the stadium.
Another of the great tragedies....so sad.

33 of them were teenagers Syl, the youngest only 8 years old.
They reckon someone tripped and that caused it.

I was reading about this, and it was the 2nd disaster at the same stadium. Many years before 25 people were killed iand hundreds injured when the stadium collapsed there.

As much as I love Rangers, Ibrox was a death trap back then and Rangers should have done something after the first disaster.
That was a Scotland v England game, plus two men died ten years earlier on Stairway 13 where the 66 died.
It could and should have been prevented.

Wee Nigel Pickup.
He was only eight years old and visiting family in Scotland for the festive season and was taken to his first ever football game for a treat.
Then there's the Markinch Boys, five young lads from one wee village.
I've only known one other girl called Sylvia and that was at school.
Nice name and sounds posh.
Senga which is just Agnes backwards is a favoured choice here.
Although it's now used in a derogatory way.

Lol...well posh I am not, in any case most people throughout life (apart from my Mum) have always called me Syl.
Folk told my mum that everyone would call me Vicky so it was a waste of time calling me Victoria.
However she was adamant and very few people offline call me Vicky.
My dad hasn't called me by my first name since I was about five.
He always uses a pet name he gave me, which is nice I suppose.
Anniversary of the Lockerbie Disaster today.
270 killed when the plane blew up over the town in the Scottish Borders.
"The night it rained bodies" was one of the headlines here the following day.
Horrendous act of terrorism.
Yes it was. I remember it well 😞
Lockerbie, like Aberfan, is a word that conjures up such tragic events that people will never forget.
I'm sure the many relatives and friends of those who were killed will be reliving that disaster today. x
Dunblane, that's another one.
One of the reporter's on Reporting Scotland was crying that night.
The newspaper had to remove it.
How can someone so young look so old?
Luke Littler made history as the 16-year-old became the youngest player ever to reach the last-16 of the PDC World Championships.
In this day and age of madness is normal he's probably trans ageist meaning he's 42 but declares himself to be 16.
It will soon be 53years since the Ibrox Disaster.

So many stories of utter heartbreak.
