My mum broke her favourite mug just before Christmas and apparently her tea tastes funny in other cups.
Anyway she bought the set more than thirty years ago and after much searching, I found her a replacement.
Wasn't cheap but worth it because of how pleased she was.
😁
Ahhh so nice V, bet she was thrilled.

That's lovely, it's funny how we get attached to certain items like teacups, serving dishes etc...they have sentimental value apart from being the ones we prefer to eat and drink out of.
So Barry Ferguson has returned and brought several other former players with him.
His biggest test will be going up against Jose Mourinho.

He charged me nothing, how good was that. They're better than ever now 😃

Brilliant service, I bet you will go back to them in the future.
OH has always had his eyes tested and bought glasses from BOOTS. He wears varifocals, the last pair was around £300. The arm broke off the frame just as they were out of guarantee.
He took them back, BOOTS could not fix it, but they could put lenses in a new frame...and the frame would be £100 plus.
OK, he says....then on further investigation, BOOTS say, 'Sorry, we dont do that frame anymore, the lenses don't fit any other frames, you will have to get completely new glasses...may as well test your eyes again...cost would be around £300....all because the arm had snapped off his perfectly good glasses.
He took them to an independent little shop, which sell frames, they looked, said leave them for half an hour, fitted a new arm, and refused any payment.
That's where we will be going next time we need new glasses made up.

Boots is a top off!
Glad he had a kind man to fix his glasses aswell.

I've been getting my prescription out of Boots for years (about thirty years to be precise) not once in all that time is it ever ready just to collect.
I've got to wait ten minutes before it's sorted and double checked.
Then if you want to buy painkillers you can't actually get served by the prescription person, oh no you have to go and join a separate queue.
Can't move my prescription because the other chemist doesn't store one of my tablets.
Terrible place boots.
🙁

Morrisons pharmacy used to be similar for me…queuing / waiting for the prescription to be made up, the times when I had to re-visit town because their stock was low / non-existent was frustrating to say the least. I get it home delivered now, by Boots, delivery cost is the same as bus fare into town and I get a call to arrange delivery day. The only draw back is it’s for prescriptions only, I can’t make any over the counter purchases through them to be delivered.
Can you not arrange home delivery?

No Guesty, home delivery isn't an option because I live too far away.
My mum comes from a different town and stayed with her doctor when she got married and registered me and my brother there too.
It's too much hassle trying to get a new doctor and a lot don't take on new patients.
Have you ever tried getting painkiller online?
Lots of chemists do it but some even want a photo of you with identification.
Apparently some even have a register to make sure you don't buy codeine more than once a month.

A 97 year old man gets battered senseless, most folk would be outraged but it was Sidney Cooke who it's reckoned raped, tortured and murdered countless wee boys.
It seems another prisoner bashed his head in with a flask and knocked him unconscious.
He still refuses to say where seven years old Mark Tidesley's body is, must be awful for the family not knowing.
Jose Mourniho is whinging because my lads Rangers beat his team last night in Europe.
Get it up you fuckface!!
Rangers are playing marvellous in Europe but hopeless in Scotland!!

I was going to suggest you try for the Boots free Royal Mail delivery option but you live in Scotland, iirc? Shame, as it would have taken away all that frustration.
Yeah, if ever I need painkillers etc I either use Boots online if I’m ordering other stuff but generally buy with my online grocery shop, never had a problem.

I wanted that baby to win, he (I think) was trying to help the other baby at first...gave up on that, and romped home
Our manager has been sacked!!
About time too, it was getting beyond humiliating and I'll never get over losing to Queens Park.
We need a Scottish manager, someone with Rangers in his DNA.
I would like Wee Del but the talk is Barry Ferguson.
He has Rangers in his DNA but he maybe has too much of it!!
😂
So Barry Ferguson has returned and brought several other former players with him.
