Oh so it's law. Mind you if a car drive towards me, how would get out the way? Maybe he was justified in shooting, although could have aimed lower, but then I'm not him. No one knows how you would react if you feel threatened.
Thing is in America with armed police, you stop. Why did she choose to drive? because her friend told her too. So really she's responsible for the whole saga. She was the one outside the car, shooting her mouth off like a gob on a stick! 😠
That's just it. The officers had a matter of seconds...the wrong decision could have gotten them seriously harmed.
I feel she was ultimately responsible for her own death. Enough warnings had been given re officer's safety etc. Going by both their actions and attitudes, they probably thought by gobbing-off etc they'd be seen as "heroic" and just get a slap on the wrist for their antics. That backfired big time. I watched a short video earlier where she was caught sit-dancing in her car seat whilst blaring out her horn...they weren't there for any reason but to cause strife, I feel - obviously it didn't turn out how either of them expected. No regard for the officers nor the noise caused to the local residents, or the inconvenience for other road users. Just a pair of ignorant, dumb idiots.
Hopefully it sends out a message: don't feck around with armed police officers.
They were goading him. The woman outside was giving it big. Come on she goaded. He did.
They drove off, instead of doing as asked. Personally, now I've seen this, it was their fault.
It's not the driving off, it's the driving towards the cop. They can't shoot you driving away from them. They can shoot you driving towards them..
He was at the side of the car when he fired.
The bullet hole was in the front windscreen.
The first was.
And unless he is left handed and wasn't even aiming, he had to be standing in front of the vehicle..
Blame the wife. Her last words to Renee were "drive, baby drive".

The question is, was shooting her his only option? The fact that he was able to side-step the car as it drove past him at a relatively low speed suggests not.
A car that heavy can do terrible damage even at a low speed
And, the courts will never expect someone to calculate all of their options.
Let's swap out the car with another perfectly legal object, a firearm.
Possession of a firearm (here) can't be construed as a threat. Brandishing one can be and no one has to try to figure out what the brandisher's intentions are..
The minute the car lurched towards the agent, a reasonable could see that as a threat.
All of your options are on the table..

Ironic how Trump is encouraging Iranians to protest, yet has labelled Good a terrorist for doing just that and has justified her killing.

You can't see the difference in the protests?

I see similarities - both were against state-based oppression, the protesters were labelled terrorists by the state, and shot.

America will be going in to free the christians protesting there. Ayatollah has murdered thousands. All they want is to be free, women dress freely, not in those burkas. To work as teachers, doctors, as before. I wish them well.

Christians make up less than 1% of the population there and know better than to protest.
When it comes to killing Muslims. nobody does it better than other Muslims..

They do seem to interpret their religion in a very brutal way.
Christians make up a very small % because they are persecuted....and woe betide any Muslim who wants to switch.

No doubt most Christians have left. Same as most Jews..
Heck, same as just about anyone who doesn't fancy a theocracy.
My point was, Iran isn't like Africa where the deaths are based on one religion killing another. In much of the Middle East, they don't seem to care if you're a fellow Muslim..

Getting back to Trump: A new study has confirmed no link between Paracetamol/Tylenol taken during pregnancy and autism in children, despite Trump's previous well-published claim that there is and that it is dangerous and pregnant women should 'fight like hell' to avoid taking it. He opens his mouth without engaging his brain, and routinely spouts dangerous misinformation - but unfortunately many people listen to him because, well, because he's their president. One has to wonder how many pregnant women running a temperature or with an illness he has scared off taking it, and as a result risked harming the baby. The man is a danger to (his own) society.

Thalidomide was widely marketed and promoted as completely safe leading to its prescription for millions before the severe birth defects it caused were discovered, resulting in its ban in 1961. German manufacturers and its UK counterpart, actively promoted its safety despite lacking thorough testing on pregnant animals, and some doctors and companies downplayed early warnings, causing widespread tragedy.
One has to ask why autism and cancers in kids have taken a massive upturn. If we don't question things, nothing changes.

Personally, I think you should take nothing when you're pregnant and that includes alcohol and smoking and recreationals.

I think that is the general consensus now anyway..
My middle daughter got a kidney stone while pregnant. The options she had, were limited, especially since she isn't real keen on putting anything in her body that could harm the kiddo..

I vaguely remember him advising or claiming injecting bleach/disinfectants would get rid of Covid 19?
It sounds so ridiculous that perhaps I'm misremembering because he does come out with some guff at times.
edit: just Googled. He wondered if research could be done into injecting disinfectants re Covid19.

Not sure what point you're making - you seem to be saying that what applied to thalidomide also applies to Tylenol (deemed safe but actually causes birth defects?). Yes, as you say, it pays to question these things, but not to make unsubstantiated claims as Trump has done.

I think until the Trump administration is consigned to the dustbin of history Western nations will increasing treat the US as hostile to their interests.
This will have significant long term implications even though I think with time relations will improve. For example if European nations get fed up and increasingly allow Chinese Electric Vehicles into their markets then the US automobile industry can say goodbye to any meaningful market here. No-one is going to pay £30k more for a Tesla when they can have a Xiaomi with superior specs.
Petrol cars will go the way of the dodo now that solid state battery technology has matured so the EV market is going to be crucial. I cannot see how US cars can compete unless they have favourable trade arrangements with allies.
