Don't watch this link if you're squeamish. It's graphic. It's the first time I've seen it but I feel people really should watch it because if there was ever a reason to bring back the death penalty this is it. The death of Iryna. A life gone in literally seconds. It took her seconds to die. That monster should swing in public.
Which could arguably be a small blessing…..except for the fact that, if you look closely, you’ll notice that savage aberration‘s face was the last thing her eyes were briefly focused on, before she slipped into unconsciousness and slid onto that filthy floor.
I hate that for her.

What is most heart breaking is her bewilderment at the inhumanity that's just happened to her. This kind of thing gives me nightmares....cruelty so abhorrent that it just produces disbelief in the victims.

I saw this week's ago when it was first shown, I just watched it again, it's like a knife through the heart seeing her beautiful innocent face looking up at him.
God knows the pain her family must feel when they see the last few seconds of her life slipping away.
I think it's one of the most horrendous things I have ever seen.

I won't watch someone actually be murdered because I wouldn't want billions of strangers viewing someone I cared for (God forbid) being killed. This is no judgement of anyone here as your responses are nothing but heartfelt but not everyone in the world is like that. I don't think it's fair to the victim or her family to have this footage viewed by any Tom, Dick or Harry.
I'm sure this legislation to show cold blooded murders hasn't been around for long but maybe I'm in error. Any murder if seen will make horrified observers want the death penalty brought back, because the reality must be utterly gruesome compared to the mere knowledge of it.
I can still remember the chilling image of those two boys taking away beautiful little James Bulger ,his tiny hand clasped trustingly in theirs. I cry every time I think of it. There are evil people in this world and I just think their victims should be able to keep their dignity. Only a jury should be able to view it imo.
That evil bastard will be jailed for life God willing.

“ On Sunday, Education Secretary Bridget Phillipson said the UK had "played a key role behind the scenes in shaping" the Gaza peace plan.
Britain had been involved in "complex matters of diplomacy", she told Sky News, without providing further detail.
Appearing later on BBC One's Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg, Phillipson was asked to spell out the UK's role, and responded: "We do have a role, but of course the role of the US has been critical in this - we can all recognise that."
However, Mike Huckabee, the US ambassador to Israel, called Phillipson's comments "delusional". Posting on X, he added: "She can thank [Trump] anytime just to set the record straight."
Israel's deputy foreign minister Sharren Haskel further criticised the UK's claims on Sunday.
The country continues to fall apart and this gormless herbert has jetted off to attend something that has absolutely nothing to do with him or had a hand in. If he had been involved in complex matters of diplomacy then we sure as hell would have heard about it just as he’s droned on about his smashing the gangs chuff. Does he think recognising Palestine complex diplomacy? He has done more harm to our relationship with Israel than anything and time will tell just how bad that is.
”delusional” is spot on.

Apart from the obvious the one thing that shocked me was the quietness of it all. Someone doing a mundane activity, keeping herself to herself, simply heading for home. No arguments, no fights, just unprovoked slaughter. No screams of shock, anger or disgust from anyone in that carriage, as though it was an everyday occurrence. Yes, he had a knife and yes, I appreciate people react differently to shocking events but that woman, in particular, looked at Iryna several times, no hand to mouth, no screams of horror…not one sound. The bloke behind her was no better.
God bless the ones that did tend to her, hopefully she was aware of them and didn’t feel as alone when she passed.
RIP Iryna Zarutska.

100% agree. And to be honest I can't fathom why anyone here would want to click on it knowing what they're going to see. Maybe it's just me getting older, but I also despair that there are so many young kids who can witness stuff like this and maybe even worse online. No wonder so many of our youngsters are suffering from depression and anxiety these days.

And yet, somehow, it seems like it is …. 🤷🏻♀️ Fwiw, the particularly graphic part of Iryana’s brutal attack is blurred out in that clip.
If grieving families strongly object to clips like this of their loved ones, they have the option of asking the moderators of social media platforms (like X) to ban/forbid publication of the clips. I doubt their request would be refused!

“ Sir Keir Starmer will commit the UK to playing a key role in rebuilding Gaza as he attends a summit to mark the ceasefire and Israeli hostage return agreement brokered by Donald Trump.”
What is it with this arsehole finding all these millions willy-nilly to help foreigners both home and abroad yet there’s very little in the pot for the very citizens here who he’s supposed to be governing? Imagine, for example, how many legit homeless could be helped with that money.
They say crime doesn’t pay. Past billions in aid seems to have lined the pockets of Hamas leaders currently living in luxury, not to mention the buying of arms etc and yet here we are, hand in pocket again. They’re killing each other over the spoils of war already.
I don’t know why he just doesn’t bundle us all into dinghy’s and leave us adrift in the ocean and have done with it.

I don’t GAF what anyone thinks because, yes, I’m going to be very judgy here.
I saw an interview with the mother of Iryna’s bestial attacker. All lash/nail extensions, full-on makeup and pink hair in front of the cameras, whining that the system ”failed” her son. No surprise there, really. But I guess she does have a point. The system failed to continue safely containing her son throughout the 14 times he had been previously arrested.
I also heard the clip of his conversation with his sister after his arrest for killing Iryna. I’m by no means a mental health expert but, to me, it came across that he was setting up his own insanity defense. Like the cogs were slowly turning in his brain, kinda thing, while he tried to figure out an appropriate, justifiable reason for the bestial stabbing he inflicted on Iryna.
Whatever 🤷🏻♀️ I don‘t want to hear about schizophrenia or any other mental health issue to justify this. It seems he was diagnosed with and treated for schizophrenia, but he chose to stop taking his meds.
And that’s the deal-breaker for me. If he was off his meds, if the family just passively let him do his thing, and if the system consistently failed to monitor/contain him, then he needs to be treated as any wild rabid animal would be dealt with.
At least it’s a given that he’ll soon be imprisoned for life. But even when incarcerated, he could still pose a danger to himself or others.

I am in two minds about what the internet should show or view for public consumption.
In the recent Synagogue attack, I thought the cameras trailing on the dead body of the man in the street, bloodied, uncovered, with passers by ignoring him, was horrible. He hadn't been named, no one knew if it was their son, their father, I can imagine that caused untold harm to many people.
I really wish I had not seen the video of Iryna being stabbed to death, I can't get her out of my mind, and the last clip was even more prolonged than the first. I cannot imagine how her family must feel to see it, it's something they will never unsee.
Why do people watch these horrendous video's? Hopefully the vast majority do so because they don't want to be ignorant of what happened. When someone who has suffered in such a horrendous way, to turn the page is in a way to disregard what happened to her. I think it's the same thing when video's of children being mistreated are published.
We don't forget those people, and imo, that's a good thing, not a bad thing.

They are applauding him as if he is a deity.
They are madmen who have deliberately bombed hospitals , committed countless grotesque murders of children and denied the starving people of Gaza aid.
Yet you have decided to somehow twist the glorious conclusion of this horrible war finally ending, all hostages being released and peace being restored into a way to having a go at Starmer.
Petty isn't the word.

Seeing that video brought it home to me more so than reading, say, a BBC article “woman travelling home stabbed to death…” Just like when I inadvertently clicked on a video, years ago, of ISIS beheading an innocent… up until then I had only read words on the screen but that video brought the actual horror and savagery to those words. I can still see that atrocity.
As horrible as it was watching her die I’m hoping something positive will come out of showing it - looking at repeat-offenders being released on the streets/the judges smacking the wrists of these violent thugs/the police or relevant authorities having the power to detain these dangerous MH cases… The more people are made aware of all the shortcomings then hopefully the next Iryna can arrive home safely.

Syl, I’ve said several times that there are some stories I try to avoid, and I very, very rarely click on links that feature abuse or gratuitous cruelty towards children, the elderly and animals.
But there are some shock and awe stories that do sometimes manage to reel me in. As is the case of the unimaginable level of savagery inflicted on Iryna. To my mind, it would be kind of disrespectful to ignore the circumstances that led to the loss of her life at such a young age.
Which could arguably be a small blessing…..except for the fact that, if you look closely, you’ll notice that savage aberration‘s face was the last thing her eyes were briefly focused on, before she slipped into unconsciousness and slid onto that filthy floor.
