It's a very good time for dogs to come to an end and just over a year since Newsfix ended.
IMO the private forums filled a void when the news forums came to an end.We all had to have somewhere to go but quite often it would seem that cliques were formed and some perfectly innocent members were banned at the whim of the admin and mods.
The social media platforms like Twitter X have transformed everything for the better IMO as you have control over your own time line. All became their own mods with the ability to block the really nasty posters at will.
It's much more connected now. On X you cam now get straight in touch with all buisnesses via the DM faciility. I recently had an issue with vodafone. They reply to you much faster through X rather than to ring them

It's ending because the owner drove everyone of any intelligence away. I posted on there the other day about how sad a man he is that his only claim to glory is that he won the forum wars
