We both look at people's past actions when forming opinions. We both look at their affiliations with groups..
If Petty belonged to a terrorist group, armed and dangerous, I could see that people may be looking for valid reason why he should be shot dead that day. Even then, he was pepper sprayed, overpowered, disarmed, and was still shot 10 times by more than one agent.
As it is, he was part of a demonstration that seemed to be more of a nuisance than a threat to anyone.
As far as I know, directing traffic, and previously spitting and kicking a vehicle (which happened 11 days prior) is not a justified reason to execute someone in the US.
I think we both judge people's character. Doesn't mean we support them being illegally killed..

I doubt anyone would admit to supporting citizens being legally killed in the streets, it's still odd to me that some are looking for reasons why he was ....when it's obvious he was killed because trigger happy thugs escallated the situation in the minutes before.

Maybe not, but there are plenty of people that cheer at the death of another.

I dont do Facebook, Twitter and the like. I read about people who trawl round memorable sites and leave horrible messages.

The attitude to carrying guns in America is ridiculous, it's asking for trouble, which is why death by guns is so high there.
Agreed. I know this is going off the thread topic, but here's just one example of the madness. Yes, it can be argued that the gun laws are fine if people act responsibly, but the bottom line is they don't when anger fear or panic overtake them. Although we don't like to admit it, we are never fully in control of ourselves, so allowing any Tom Dick or Harry to carry a weapon is always going to be asking for big big trouble

'Disgusting behaviour' by Trump, or just faux outrage from the 'woke brigade'?
Trump shares video with racist clip depicting Obamas as apes
It doesn't surprise me that Trump is racist. He sees himself as the big white superior male....the joke is on him.
Obama is more of a man than Trump could ever be.
