FGS how much is this going to cost us -has he asked the French for our refund yet? Our money is obviously burning a hole in his pocket, he’s like a kid wasting his birthday money on crap.
'Ramp up' is another favourite phrase, alongside 'working people'
He cracks me up when he goes all macho with his 'I mean it when I say' nonsense - seeing as nearly everything he says doesn't happen or he U-turns on it.
That's 2 'landmark' agreements he's 'secured' now. The other one being the one in one out pile of crap.

Somali man threatens woman in London at a bus stop. She keeps her cool.
My brother used to live in London and he got out a few years ago because it's now mostly a violent shithole. I was born there and have fond memories. The last time I visited was 2014 and it was like being in a foreign country.

Where I live on outskirts is much nicer. We thought about moving to Kent, but Albanians, and Eastern Europeans are there. More houses being built for immigrants. So beautiful Kent will be gone in a few years if this carries.on.
There's no escaping them if we don't stop the boats. I feel they're an army coming in, we will never be safe if Starmer stays in power for a few more years!

What do you expect? This Government is woefully inept I agree although they don't publicise the positive things they have done enough which I shall be listing in.another post for balance.
But the previous government crashed the economy! Liz Truss bankrupted the economy over night. Johnson has a party when ordinary people weren't permitted to enter hospital rooms to say goodbye to their dying loved ones due to Covid rules. People have very short memories. Starmer hasn't done anything of this magnitude yet right wing folk speak of him as if he is the Devil incarnate.
We are lucky to.have ANY arrangement with the French. When we left the EU we could no longer make use of the Dublin Convention which would allow Starmer to send ALL the i!immigrants arriving via small boat back to France. That's why they keep coming here, because they know under international law we HAVE to let them stay!
Brexit right wing voters seemingly have to point the finger at Starmer for the immigration crisis so they don't experience cognitive dissonance. But it's Nigel Farage they should be blaming. He was the Pied Piper of Brexit , leading the public in a meet dance, promising we would have MORE control over our borders if we abandoned the EU (you have to admire his gall!) and promising immigration would plummet.
If I was Starmer I would stop trying to appease those ignoring the impact of the Dublin on illegal immigration and tell people straight. He can't wave a magic wand and clear up our mess . It seems some expected him to resolve the Tory 20 billion pound debt and woefully underfunded public services within 12 months. It's just not possible. Wales alone used to receive 30 million annually from Europe. When Wales opted to exit we got scraps from Westminster instead that wouldn't have been anywhere near that amount.
Britain voted for a poorer economy and higher levels of immigration, advised by Nigel Farage. It is annoying that people won't accept the consequences of their own actions.

He’s allowed 50,000+ undocumented savages onto British soil in a little over 12 months and continues to feed, clothe, shelter and financially support every single one of them. His ineptitude allowing this has had folks being stabbed to death on our streets and women/ girls being sexually abused/raped by savages. His ineptitude is also allowing entire communities to be concerned about their and their kids safety…But you do you, carry on thinking Boris was far worse.

Audrey Dempsey who was suspended from Labour for accusations of racism has now declared that Sharia Law exists in Scotland, angering the SNP and all other political parties who called her claims "absurd".
The video below showing a rare glimpse inside Reform HQ is a must see! Filmed by Sky News at a "secret location" is like watching a drunken rabble spouting conspiracy theories. It really is something to behold! These pint drinking misfits are the reality of our future Government..
Reform UK councillor Audrey Dempsey claimed that Sharia law is being brought to Glasgow, which has been strongly criticized by Scotland's First Minister John Swinney as "ludicrous, absurd and divisive." He emphasized that such comments risk undermining community cohesion in Scotland, which is known for being a welcoming country. Sky gbnews.com
Asked where it was happening, the councillor said: “Do you not have conversations in the street?”
Pushed to clarify her position, Ms Dempsey said: “You just have to take a walk through the streets of Glasgow city centre, any given day.”
Speaking to the PA news agency on Thursday from Bute House, First Minister John Swinney said “I don’t believe for a moment” migrants are bringing Sharia law to Scotland’s biggest city.

Any normal person would have chased them up on it when the licence didn't materialise in a reasonable amount time, after all, renting out the family home is a big deal isn't it? Yes, shocking birth rates are occurring in Japan but that's a growing trend in the West also. There are other things contributing to Japan 's decline which are happening exclusively because of their work and social.cultures. Indeed Japan has the highest rate of male suicides globally.

Japan has an an old fashioned culture which is out of step with the decline of the global economy and the change of women's role in modern society which is ironic when you consider how advanced they are in technology. If family patriarchs realised this and stopped putting pressure on family members to adhere to a way of life that is no longer available to most then.maybe things will change for the better.

Is it "safe and clean" in the slums of Osaka where a hundred thousand people, mostly men, flee to every year because they can no longer tolerate the pressure of their 16 hour jobs?
Japan is in trouble due to sharply declining birth rates, you said so yourself. People are just no longer in relationships and fifty year old men are returning to their childhood homes because they cannot afford to live alone and this apparently puts shame upon the family. It is known as the 50:80 problem and these men blacken out their windows to show their shame as I said before.
Why these men are made to feel ashamed I don't know and I think it's these old fashioned patriarchal pressures in Japanese society that are contributing to the decline of the mental health and happiness of Japanese people. People jumping in front of trains to the extent that blue mood lighting and "calming music "has been introduced is indicative of not just how suicidal and depressed people are, but is surely an open display of despair at the oppressive regimental Japanese society. It doesn't sound particularly "safe ' either

Yes, it's safe and clean.
Even in Osaka.
"As of 2024, Osaka continues to maintain its reputation as one of the safest cities in the world for tourists. According to Numbeo, the city boasts a crime index of 14.02 and a safety index of 85.98, placing it among the top-tier destinations in terms of public safety. Osaka’s low crime rate is a significant reason why the city is a popular destination for both international tourists and domestic travelers."

I was on the Huntingdon train.
I only know of one attacker, he got on the train from Peterborough. He was black mid 20’s. We ran from the back of the train to the end as everyone was screaming to run, explaining there was somebody stabbing everyone and everything.

So it wasn't Rachel Reeves' fault after all but an oversight by her letting agent. I didn't think Reeves would risk her job for nine hundred quid. She would have been under the impression The licence had been paid. More inaccurate stirring from The Daily Fail then..
The letting agent which rented out Chancellor Rachel Reeves' family home has apologised for an "oversight" which led to a failure to obtain the correct licence.
Gareth Martin, owner of Harvey & Wheeler, said the company's previous property manager had offered to apply for a "selective" rental licence on behalf of their client - but this never happened as the manager resigned before the tenancy began.
He added: "We deeply regret the issue caused to our clients as they would have been under the impression that a licence had been applied for."

Where I live on outskirts is much nicer. We thought about moving to Kent, but Albanians, and Eastern Europeans are there. More houses being built for immigrants. So beautiful Kent will be gone in a few years if this carries.on.

Thought of your post when I read this on X…
Celebrities on the decay of London. Ricky Gervais, "Welcome to London, don't forget your stab vest."
Ed Sheeran, "Every area of London is sketchy and dangerous."
Nigel Farage described London as "Lawless" and "in a state of collapse."
Piers Morgan saying about Sadiq Khans knife crime epidemic in London saying he's "Bottling it" to act. Liam Gallagher on London's slogan London is open he replied "Open for what? Knife Crime." Hugh Grant in an X post he later deleted, "Who exactly effed London?"
Jeremy Clarkson, "I have travelled a great deal over the years and have always said London is the best city in the world. But Kahn is seriously fucking it up."
President Donald J. Trump, "London has been changed so much that it wants to go to Sharia law."
Kirsty Gallagher after being mugged in London stated that such violent incidents are "becoming commonplace."
John Cleese saying London is "no longer an English city," Noel Gallagher describing London as a "f***ing dump."
Another migrant sex offender has been wrongly released from prison. It's been kept quiet this time, and he has been on the run for a week.
Lammy was asked 5 times during PMQ's if he was aware of it, and refused to answer and lost his temper. He has now had to backtrack and has issued a statement saying that he is 'outraged and appalled' by the prisoner's release.
Meanwhile, the illegal who was sent to France as part of Starmer's 'landmark deal' but came back, has been sent back to France for a second time, so his record is currently one in, one out, one in, one out. It will be hilarious if he makes it back for a third time

Meanwhile, the illegal who was sent to France as part of Starmer's 'landmark deal' but came back, has been sent back to France for a second time, so his record is currently one in, one out, one in, one out. It will be hilarious if he makes it back for a third time
The prison authorities doing a Starmer…a few hundred in, one out.
Labour have completely lost control of everything. I read earlier, I think it was the Home Office, have admitted that they haven’t a clue where the rejected asylum seekers are.

I've read about the isolated pockets of weird fuckers in Japan..
You don't understand the economic problems created by a declining population and low birthrate.
It's easy to fix the problems with young men not working.
Not making babies with women is a bit more difficult..
Maddog, I watched the video that you provided with Jordan Peterson, you could really return the courtesy.
Yes, shocking birth rates are occurring in Japan but that's a growing trend in the West also. There are other things contributing to Japan 's decline which are happening exclusively because of their work and social.cultures. Indeed Japan has the highest rate of male suicides globally.
So many men are jumping in front of trains that blue mood lighting has been installed with "calming music "to try and calm other passengers. Other desperate people take a different route out of Japan
.Over 100 thousand people per year decide to abandon their life under cover of darkness in a practice known as "Johatsu " meaning "evaporated people" This is the equivalent of a small city of people choosing to simply vanish and relocate to the slums of Osaka. They can no longer cope with the gruelling work hours, low pay and burnout.
Many people are required to work 16 hour days and business men are often found (and photographed) lying asleep on trains, in the street and on escalators, completely exhausted. This is due to a culture that you must give your life to your job and socialise with your boss in order to climb that executive ladder. This means accompanying your boss for drinks after work and it's considered bad manners to leave first and you must match them.drink for drink. These men are literally a common sight sprawled all over cities at 3am spark out.
Japan is very concerned with image and shame. Family matters must be kept within the family. Elderly mother's are supporting their 50,year old children, often male, who have also retreated from society but they blacken out their windows to show their shame. These are not "isolated weird fuckers" but hundreds of thousands of unemployed unmarried men due to high job losses.
This was all in the video and much more besides just to let you know that Japan may have low birth rates but that's only one of a myriad of problems the country currently contends with.
Suicide rates by country.
Japan is basically the same as the US.
Ah but they actually advocate it in Japan. Suicide is considered honourable if you do not have a steady white collar job or are not in a conventional marriage with children. Either that or you are not considered part of the family, hence all the people just abandoning their lives and moving to slums in.Osaka essentially homeless. Men would rather that bleak existence than the burnout of 16 hour weeks for minimal pay and no.chances of further prospects. Japan 's economy is not what it used to be so companies no longer ensure their employees a long term job.
So many suicidal men are jumping in front of trains and calming lighting and music has been installed to try and stop.the hysteria of other passengers. Does that happen in.America also?? Are 50 year old unemployed unmarried males in America painting their windows black out of shame? That's a big fat nope I'm guessing because Japan is n.a really bad way right now. Why you are trying to downplay it is anyone's guess.
I don't think you know much about Japan.
Obviously their culture is different. That's why they have such a clean, safe country..
With a suicide rate a little higher than average but definitely not an outlier..
As for American men's preferred method its usually a firearm..

I do know quite a bit about Japan as I find it a very interesting country. Why you would try to assert otherwise God only knows but it's just the usual nonsense from you when you don't appreciate the reality of a situation. You seem to have a problem with the fact that Japanese society is currently in trouble . Do you work for their tourist board??
If a 100 thousand people are just abandoning their families each year, I would say the toxic work culture has simply got too much. And suicide figures HAVE increased to worrying levels, if America are not far behind ,that might be something to seriously take on board Madders.

They go to the slums of Osaka, not the tourist district. Slums are not known for being" nice and clean".
It's the British equivalent of me explaining people in financial and social trouble are housed in sheltered accommodation in London and you depicting that as the bright lights of Piccadilly Circus.
Regardless or what happens in the slums of Osaka, it's one if the safest cities on the planet..
I do love Japan. They respect and love cats like no other country, they have coffee bars where you can bring your cats!😺 It would be so lovely , not everyone's cup.of tea I concede, but I would love to go to such a cafe.
When I discovered this I learnt more and more about Japan and love their minimalist style, their diet, and I love content about the capsule hotels. It's literally just a bed! No other room, just a bed. I People with not enough money for a home stay in these hotels and stay in the capsule beds in their vast airports which are akin to theme parks! The upmarket lounges are the personification of luxury.
They also have lovely train journeys showing beautiful scenery with spacious ornate rooms. Obviously you need to be affluent to.go on such journeys but I agree the the country is lovely. The Japanese people are so polite and proud of their country.
The only passion I don't quite share is the Japanese obsession with claw machine's! They even have a cruise dedicated to these machine's. But nowhere is perfect! I would love to visit one day. It's on my bucket list, fingers crossed.

Labour have contributed so much since being in Government which doesn't get heard due to the right wing media coverage emphasising the negative and trying to drown out the positive.
Since being in power Labour has firstly tried to work on trade that Brexit effectively ruined-
The Labour government has introduced a new Trade Strategy aimed at boosting British business by unlocking £5 billion for companies, expanding export finance, and improving trade relationships, particularly with the EU. This strategy focuses on quicker trade deals and strengthening trade defenses to protect vital industries from global threats.
New Agreement with the EU: Labour has secured a new agreement aimed at supporting British businesses and jobs. This deal is expected to lower food prices, reduce red tape, and enhance access to the EU market, potentially adding nearly £9 billion to the UK economy by 2040.
Key Legislative Focus Areas
Veterinary Agreement: Labour plans to negotiate a veterinary agreement to minimize unnecessary border checks, which could help reduce food costs.
The Labour government aims to improve trade relations with the EU through several specific legislative goals:
Tearing Down Trade Barriers: The Labour government is committed to removing unnecessary obstacles to trade with the EU, which includes revisiting aspects of the existing Trade and Cooperation Agreement (TCA).
Negotiations with EU Leaders: Key ministers have engaged in discussions with EU officials to advance trade agreements and improve existing arrangements.
Review of the TCA: A review of the Trade and Cooperation Agreement is scheduled to begin by December 30, 2025.
Bilateral Agreements: The government is also pursuing new bilateral agreements with EU member states, such as Germany and France, to boost trade and security cooperation.
These initiatives reflect the Labour government's commitment to fostering a more productive and cooperative trading environment with the EU while maintaining its stance on not rejoining the single market or customs union.
Employment Support: Labour is investing £1 billion annually in tailored employment and health support.
Legislation for Workers: New measures have been introduced to improve employment rights, including ending exploitative zero-hour contracts and providing statutory sick pay from day one.
Education Reforms
School Standards: Labour has scrapped single headline Ofsted grades to improve school accountability and transparency.
Apprenticeship Overhaul: A new Growth and Skills Levy has been introduced to enhance apprenticeship opportunities.
Labour has introduced new legislation to expand free breakfast clubs in primary schools, aiming to support working families by providing nutritious meals and childcare before school. This initiative is part of a broader effort to improve children's readiness to learn and alleviate the cost of living pressures on parents.
The new Labour government's Employment Rights Bill aims to enhance workers' rights significantly, including protections against unfair dismissal from day one of employment and the introduction of day one rights for paternity and parental leave.
Key Changes in Employment Rights
Day One Rights: Employees will have the right to challenge unfair dismissal from their first day of employment, removing the previous two-year qualifying period.
Probationary Period: A new statutory probation period will allow employers to assess new hires while still protecting their right to claim unfair dismissal.
Flexible Working and Leave
Paternity and Parental Leave: These will become "day one rights," allowing employees to request leave from their first day on the job.
Zero-Hour Contracts: Workers on zero-hour contracts will have the right to a guaranteed hours contract if they work regular hours over a defined period.
Protection Against Harassment
Third-Party Harassment: Employers will have a duty to prevent harassment from third parties, such as customers.
TheLabour government is introducing new legislation to renationalize the railways under the Great British Railways (GBR)initiative, aiming to improve service quality and align operations with public interests. This plan focuses on enhancing reliability, affordability, and infrastructure improvements.
Recent Labour Legislation for the NHS
Key Legislative Proposals
The Labour Party has outlined several legislative initiatives aimed at reforming and improving the National Health Service (NHS). These proposals focus on addressing current challenges and enhancing service delivery.
Increase in Appointments: A plan to cut NHS waiting times by providing an additional 40,000 appointments each week.
Cancer Care Enhancement: Doubling the number of cancer scanners to improve early detection and treatment.
Mental Health Support: Hiring 8,500 additional mental health staff to address the growing mental health crisis, particularly among children and young people.
Dentistry Rescue Plan: Introducing a new plan to improve access to dental care.

Southwark, where I was born is awful now.
He was the Pied Piper of Brexit , leading the public in a meet dance, promising we would have MORE control over our borders if we abandoned the EU
(you have to admire his gall!) and promising immigration would plummet.
Speaking to the PA news agency on Thursday from Bute House, First Minister John Swinney said “I don’t believe for a moment” migrants are bringing Sharia law to Scotland’s biggest city.

Isn’t that the case with the majority of them, grifting through life until the media exposes them then it’s faux tears at bedtime.
They may be illegal, and some may have got rid of their documents...but to call them all savages is simply scare mongering....behave yourself.

I was on the Huntingdon train.
I only know of one attacker, he got on the train from Peterborough. He was black mid 20’s. We ran from the back of the train to the end as everyone was screaming to run, explaining there was somebody stabbing everyone and everything.

Thought of your post when I read this on X…

Liam Gallagher on London's slogan London is open he replied "Open for what? Knife Crime." Hugh Grant in an X post he later deleted, "Who exactly effed London?"
