Labour have contributed so much since being in Government which doesn't get heard due to the right wing media coverage emphasising the negative and trying to drown out the positive.
Since being in power Labour has firstly tried to work on trade that Brexit effectively ruined-
The Labour government has introduced a new Trade Strategy aimed at boosting British business by unlocking £5 billion for companies, expanding export finance, and improving trade relationships, particularly with the EU. This strategy focuses on quicker trade deals and strengthening trade defenses to protect vital industries from global threats.
New Agreement with the EU: Labour has secured a new agreement aimed at supporting British businesses and jobs. This deal is expected to lower food prices, reduce red tape, and enhance access to the EU market, potentially adding nearly £9 billion to the UK economy by 2040.
Key Legislative Focus Areas
Veterinary Agreement: Labour plans to negotiate a veterinary agreement to minimize unnecessary border checks, which could help reduce food costs.
The Labour government aims to improve trade relations with the EU through several specific legislative goals:
Tearing Down Trade Barriers: The Labour government is committed to removing unnecessary obstacles to trade with the EU, which includes revisiting aspects of the existing Trade and Cooperation Agreement (TCA).
Negotiations with EU Leaders: Key ministers have engaged in discussions with EU officials to advance trade agreements and improve existing arrangements.
Review of the TCA: A review of the Trade and Cooperation Agreement is scheduled to begin by December 30, 2025.
Bilateral Agreements: The government is also pursuing new bilateral agreements with EU member states, such as Germany and France, to boost trade and security cooperation.
These initiatives reflect the Labour government's commitment to fostering a more productive and cooperative trading environment with the EU while maintaining its stance on not rejoining the single market or customs union.
Employment Support: Labour is investing £1 billion annually in tailored employment and health support.
Legislation for Workers: New measures have been introduced to improve employment rights, including ending exploitative zero-hour contracts and providing statutory sick pay from day one.
Education Reforms
School Standards: Labour has scrapped single headline Ofsted grades to improve school accountability and transparency.
Apprenticeship Overhaul: A new Growth and Skills Levy has been introduced to enhance apprenticeship opportunities.
Labour has introduced new legislation to expand free breakfast clubs in primary schools, aiming to support working families by providing nutritious meals and childcare before school. This initiative is part of a broader effort to improve children's readiness to learn and alleviate the cost of living pressures on parents.
The new Labour government's Employment Rights Bill aims to enhance workers' rights significantly, including protections against unfair dismissal from day one of employment and the introduction of day one rights for paternity and parental leave.
Key Changes in Employment Rights
Day One Rights: Employees will have the right to challenge unfair dismissal from their first day of employment, removing the previous two-year qualifying period.
Probationary Period: A new statutory probation period will allow employers to assess new hires while still protecting their right to claim unfair dismissal.
Flexible Working and Leave
Paternity and Parental Leave: These will become "day one rights," allowing employees to request leave from their first day on the job.
Zero-Hour Contracts: Workers on zero-hour contracts will have the right to a guaranteed hours contract if they work regular hours over a defined period.
Protection Against Harassment
Third-Party Harassment: Employers will have a duty to prevent harassment from third parties, such as customers.
TheLabour government is introducing new legislation to renationalize the railways under the Great British Railways (GBR)initiative, aiming to improve service quality and align operations with public interests. This plan focuses on enhancing reliability, affordability, and infrastructure improvements.
Recent Labour Legislation for the NHS
Key Legislative Proposals
The Labour Party has outlined several legislative initiatives aimed at reforming and improving the National Health Service (NHS). These proposals focus on addressing current challenges and enhancing service delivery.
Increase in Appointments: A plan to cut NHS waiting times by providing an additional 40,000 appointments each week.
Cancer Care Enhancement: Doubling the number of cancer scanners to improve early detection and treatment.
Mental Health Support: Hiring 8,500 additional mental health staff to address the growing mental health crisis, particularly among children and young people.
Dentistry Rescue Plan: Introducing a new plan to improve access to dental care.
One doesn't applaud the tenor for clearing his throat....

Another member of Starmer's cabinet has been caught breaking the rules! Lisa Nandy has nominated a Labour donor to take the role of football watchdog, thereby causing a conflict of interests.
She was warned several times that David Kogan had strong links to the Labour Party and had donated seveal times, including twice to her own personal campaign, yet she still went ahead and nominated him.
She is claiming that she 'didn't know' he had donated to her and 'deeply regrets' nominanting him. She said her department will learn lessons from this - yes, do not get caught out!
Starmer says that he belives she acted in good faith (sound familiar?) and that no further action will be taken.
I don't see the point of these ministerial rules or codes of conduct, if the entire Labour cabinet keeps breaking them and Starmer keeps letting them off!

I just heard a chap on the radio saying that there is a good chance that Reeves will resign after the budget. Labour are about to blatantly break their manifesto promise (that they used to get elected) and put up taxes.
Reeves could be seen to 'fall on her sword' and take the blame, and resign shortly afterwards. If Reeves goes though, Starmer should go with her.
Fingers crossed.

Starmer is such a cowardly little man. He hides behind others, screams at his chief aids that they are supposed to be 'protecting him', and all the time the party that he should be in control of lurches from one fiddling disaster and bad decision to the other.
Oh dear - mega cringe! Even the Orban flunky substitute who was there to greet Sir Keir didn’t seem too enthusiastic.

‘The culture secretary has apologised for breaking rules by failing to declare she had received donations from the man she picked to run England's new football regulator.
On Thursday, the commissioner for public appointments published a report, externalwhich found that David Kogan had made two separate donations of £1,450 to Lisa Nandy, when she was running to be Labour leader in 2020.
Speaking to the BBC's Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg, Nandy said: "We didn't meet the highest standards - that is on me."
She insisted Labour was different from the Conservatives saying: "When we make mistakes – and we will make mistakes, we are human beings- we put ourselves through independent processes, we respect the outcome and we take the consequences."
After the report was published, Nandy wrote a letter to the prime minister saying: "I deeply regret this error. I appreciate the perception it could create."
In his reply, Sir Keir Starmer wrote: "I know you to be a person of integrity and on the basis of your letter, it is clear you have acted in good faith." “ https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cqjwp0rq7d7o
At this rate it would be quicker to list those who haven’t been outed.

It's sad to see those old boys realise the country they fought so hard for has become a multicultural cesspit. Good on them for calling it as it is though.
They are right when they say they don't think the youth of today would put of much of a fight if war broke out. Apart from family and friends, there is nothing left to fight for any more anyway, with most of the traditional societal values gone.
Imagine the cotton wool wrapped, social media obsessed youth, given guns and told to fight in the trenches against the Russians or Chinese LoL

There is a ministerial code that all parties must follow - although this Labour cabinet either don't give a monkey's about getting caught out, or are too thick to understand basic rules. It's due process once you have broken the rules that an Independent Advisor on Ministerial Standards (IAMS) will investigate.
This lot are using being investigated as if it's some kind of get out of jail free card, and lessens or eradicates the mistake they have just made. "I have been caught out - but look, I've been investigated" They have no choice but to be investigated!
It's a watered down version of a regular criminal trying to dilute their crime by saying they have been to court. "I may have murdered/raped/robbed someone - but hey, I went to court for it!"

I watched the Remembrance Service earlier and found myself wondering how many more services will be held in the future due to hurt feelings/antagonising our newly arrived visitors.
Fills me with pride watching our armed services and vets honouring the fallen.
It stuck in my craw to watch Starmer and then spotting the Poison Dwarf (Khan) neither of whom gives a toss about homeless vets. Hypocrites, “honouring“ those that fought and died for freedom and they’re bloody well handing over this country on a plate.

Somebody posted this comment after one of the old veterans spoke.
It's not a new quote and he wasn't even talking about the UK, but I believe it says what millions of Brits are thinking.
“It is very sad to see this country taken over by foreigners who have no business to be here at all … so-called refugees and immigrants who take advantage of benefits which we have earned and paid for in our taxes. All we fought for is being whittled down to accommodate people."

The BBC is in the spotlight after two major resignations, and faces serious allegations of being biased.
Doctoring Trump's speech was unforgiveable.
