In hospital since 7am one of granddaughters having tonsils done sat by her bed on ward waiting for her to come down from recovery. Daughter getting me fish and chips from canteen
I had my tonsils removed in my mid thirties. Most painful op I've ever had and the recovery was excruciating. Best to have them out as kids it hurts less.
Complications have arisen so she has to stay in.
Coughing up blood and clots can't eat or drink properly.
The other kids fine ours nope.
She was stressed out about it before going in and I told her I had mine done in the 1950's... the black and white days when ambulances had big silver bells on them and the hospitals had big knives and I never fely a thing so in the modern world it would be even easier...
Her mum is still with her so I'm thinking mum will probably appreciate a muck breakfast muffin in the morning.
Oh no poor girl, what a worry. I do hope she gets better soon Jack.
I've assured her she will Mags but I think she might be a little wary of my medical judgements just now.
I'm sure she'll forgive you. 😊

Stephen Lawrence body is being returned to the UK after being buried in Jamaica for 31 years.
I think he should be left to rest where he is, I don't think we should start digging up the dead.

That's his mother wanting to drag it all up again.
There was more to this, he wasn't squeaky clean.

His mother campaigned for decades to get justice for her son, which was admirable, what mother wouldn't want that?
Then she seemed to get too caught up in her own publicity, her modelling clothes for M&S was a leap too far.
I think she, single-handedly, did more to dissuade women from shopping there than anyone else in the history of M&S....so far anyway.
I am expecting some trans freak to be modelling their grotesque women's fashions any day now.

Unusual occurrence.
The downstairs burglar alarm went off early this morning...it's never been triggered before.
OH came down, saw nothing out of the ordinary, doors/windows still locked etc, he reset it and went back to bed.
When I got up I noticed the perfect outline of a large bird, probably a wood pigeon or a magpie, splayed out on the patio window.
Thankfully, even though it hit the window hard enough to trigger the alarm (and that's hard) there was no sign of it anywhere, so it must have flown off.

Listen to this...
A friend of my mother's knows a woman through the Church, the woman is in her eighties and a widow.
Anyway the woman was befriended by a man who goes to the same church and is also in his eighties.
He offered to do some odd jobs and she was pleased at the offer.
The man sexually assaulted her on his first visit.
