What else have they lied about or twisted to suit their woke agenda? Seems quite a bit including Gaza reporting and trans matters.
Trump, trans and Gaza are the three accompanying the resignations story.
They have been biased for ages though - reluctant to name race/religion or foreign sounding names in news reports involving serious crime. They referred to the Pakistani muslim grooming gangs simply as 'grooming gangs' for ages, and then moved on to 'asian gangs'.
They referred to the Southport killer as being 'Welsh' with no mention of him being a first generation immigrant of Rwandan heritage (which many newspapers did). In fact, they rarely mention someone's heritage (although I think that may be changing) and simply refer to criminals as being 'British' if they have been given British citizenship, even if it only very recently. Then the names and pics come out and the public thinks 'yeah right, British'
I think it was Syl who mentioned that with stories like exam results, you will see ethnic minorities hugely over represented. As for drama, they shoehorn in minority (race, disability, sexuality) actors wherever they can, even if the part is clearly not suitable for someone from that background. It's like they are fixated in getting their 'quota' in every time.
Then there have been stories of bullying and sexual harassment, plus poorly handled high profile cases like Greg Wallace, Lineker, Huw Edwards, Russell Brand etc.
That they are able to charge an extortinate licence fee for their service beggars belief.

I made a stand last year and deliberately didn't pay my TV licence for ages, bear in mind I am an OAP....After two demands to pay, I received a letter saying "Your house is under surveillance".
It would be funny, except I wonder how many genuine OAP's simply cannot afford to pay £174.50 for a TV licence? TV may be the only bit of comfort they have.
Unless of course they are bind, then they only have to fork out £84 to not be able to see the programmes.

I'm seriously considering it as we don't watch hardly any terrestrial tv. We watch netflix, Prime and youtube. That's it. My OH said "We'll have to prove we don't watch terrestrial TV." I said, "No. They will have to prove we do."

Used to be free for aged over 74, sadly no more, unless on pension credit or benefits. I wouldn't pay it, but hub watches lots of programmes on BBC, so I have to.

What kind of effed-up policy is that, Mags?
’You may not be physically able to see our programmes. But your Guide Dog can. Pay up!’
Unbelievable…

When my licence is due again, (January I think) I will wait for the letter saying 'my house is under surveillance' again.
Only then, will I sneak out after dark, in my mac and dark glasses, and slide into the PO to pay it.

They probably had to start charging old folks because no one under 40 watches it anymore.

“ The UK has suspended intelligence sharing with the US over concerns about recent strikes on drug boats.
The decision was made after several suspected drug trafficking vessels in the Caribbean were targeted by the US. Britain claims it does not want to replicate America’s military strikes because it believes the attacks are illegal. It marks a significant break from its closest ally, previously helping the US locate vessels suspected of carrying drugs. “
Starmer seems to have a fetish for boats and illegal activities.
Israel and now US, who’s next?

“ KEIR STARMER CONSIDERING REPATRIATING SHAMIMA BEGUM BACK TO THE UK
An independent commission has reported its latest findings back and has RECOMMENDED Begum and other British citizens who went to fight for ISIS be repatriated back to the UK Starmer is said to be concerned about the lack of Human Rights in the Syrian camps they are currently detained in.”https://x.com/Basil_TGMD/status/1988497280442261587
“ Shamima Begum, the former east London schoolgirl who joined Islamic State, and other British-linked people who are detained in camps in Syria should be repatriated, a major review of UK counterterrorism policy has said.
The report, by an independent commission, said the current policy of leaving such women, men and children in limbo was "unsustainable" and risked turning the detention camps in northeastern Syria into "Britain's Guantanamo". As well as recommendations on what to do about British-linked citizens detained in Syria, the report focused on how to improve counterterrorism measures in the UK.
Forget about being unfazed by severed heads in a bucket and believing the Manchester Arena bombing was justifiable, just don a baseball cap and jeans…
Amazing how Starmer is concerned for the Human Rights of everyone outside of the UK yet obviously doesn’t give a toss about the people he’s being paid to serve.
Just 2 weeks before the most unpopular budget in living memory, it's been revealed that unemployment is at it's highest for 4 years, with 1,000 jobs a day being lost. Much of this is down to Reeves' last budget where increased employer NICs meant that fewer new people were being employed and those leaving weren't being replaced.
We will have tax hikes in the next 2 weeks, affecting "working people's" income. Something the government 'pledged' they wouldn't do (How she will try and justify it? I don't think that any amount of excuses or reasoning will be acceptable)). It will lead to more job losses. Everyone in the country except Reeves and Starmer can see how this is playing out - they will put up taxes, but there will be fewer people paying them and more people receiving benefits.
I am convinced after this budget, the Labour MP's who still have a brain left, will get Starmer out. He simply can't go on ruining this country. He has lurched from disaster to disaster since he was elected...enough is enough.

There's talk of a leadership challenge. It will still be crappy Labour but Starmer could be gone. They have to go as a pair imo - whoever goes first, I don't think it will be long before the other goes as well.
Reeves can't even rent her own house out without breaking the law, yet somehow she's in charge of every person's finances!.

Three failed asylum seekers who arrived in the UK on small boats have appeared in court charged with gang raping a woman on Brighton beach.
Two Egyptians and an Iranian Kurdish man are accused of dragging the 33-year-old woman onto the stone beach before subjecting her to a horrific ordeal.
The three migrants appeared at Lewes Crown Court in East Sussex today where a trial date was set for next year.
Egyptians Karin Al-Danasurt, 20, and Ibrahim Alshafe, 25, were living in a Home Office-run migrant hotel in Sussex when the woman was attacked.
Alshafe is accused of attacking the woman the day after his asylum claim was rejected. Iranian Kurd Abdulla Ahmadi, 25, was living at an address in Crewe.
All three men appeared in the dock today wearing grey tracksuits. John Livingstone, prosecuting, told the court: 'This is a high profile, very serious case.'
The woman said she was attacked in the early hours of Saturday, October 4 after being at a nightclub in Brighton.
