Bolton is the latest place to spike, it's now the highest in the country re infection rates. The overwhelming majority catching and spreading the virus there are people aged between 18 to 49.
May as well get on with living as there’s no cure. You takes your chances.

Yeah, wait until the second wave really takes hold in the winter and the selfish bastard's elderly/vulnerable relatives start getting COVID, they will be the first to blame everyone else.

That depends on what you class as 'get on with living'. If you resume the lifestyle you had pre coronavirus you are selfish, if you adapt to the new rules in your area re the lockdown, social distancing and sanitising hands much more frequently I agree, get on with life and make the best of how you have to live now.

Restrictions on visiting other households now extends to Renfrewshire and East Dunbartonshire, it can only be a matter of time before my area also gets added.
I'm eight miles from Glasgow and i blame the idiots who didn't practice social distancing and basically didn't give a fuck during lockdown.
Of the five families close to me, only me and one other household took it seriously.
I was waiting outside a shop last week and some big fat clatty bitch in front of me spat on the ground.
Her and her equally fat and foul friend weren't wearing masks and it was me who was keeping back from them.
And folk wonder why things are getting bad again?

Someone I know went into a sandwich shop and filthy bitch serving with no mask was sneezing, coughing and wiping the snot on her sleeve - they walked straight out and will never go there again.

So....
In the last 24 hours in Scotland, we've had...
3 deaths...
176 new cases...
1 million Scots in Lockdown...
That's the most deaths in 24 hours since June and Glasgow's NHS Chief has said most new cases are not because of house parties but because of pubs and restaurants.
It's only a matter of time before all of Scotland is in Lockdown again.
I wonder if all those who fawn over that wee bastard Sturgeon, still think the sun shines out her arse.
Actually they probably do!!

What pisses me off is when it is pointed out who is currently more to blame for the rise in infections. A few so-called experts and people playing party politics will swiftly show up on Sky News and state that you can't blame a particular group of people.
Test and trace shows what age groups are currently getting the virus. Facts can't be denied. It is a big problem in society now when you can't aim blame anywhere even if it is factual. Without a bunch of idiots crying that you can't blame those people. People will never learn if you aren't allowed to point out facts.

Exactly what the last three posters have said.
Phone in on local BBC programme this morning. Obviously no one is allowed to mention Asians and the spread between the most populated areas where they live, that's a given, but don't even mention younger people....the couple of callers who did were quickly shut up, with the presenter saying 'Lets not go down that route'....why not?
No one is saying ALL younger people are selfish, obviously they are not, but the spread is more prominent now between the 18 to under 50's....so that would be young and middle ages. Asians and Blacks, due to the way they live, the jobs they have, and in some cases the complete disregard for social distancing, are obviously another cause of the spread in infection. I bought something from an Asian stall in the market a couple of days ago...."Cash only".

Agree, not all young people are not irresponsible and like everyone else certain groups within society will disregard the advice for either their own or selfish reasons. Not all of this is down to illegal raves/parties etc, there have been mass demonstrations for various reasons which will have obviously caused a spike in confirmed infections. Schools returning, pubs and restaurants opening will have all contributed as well especially where these places have ignored the test and trace requirement. That football match and subsequent after match jolly at that Social Club in Durham spring to mind here.
Yes some young people will have caused a spike but so will more older people eating and drinking out, and let’s not forget the hordes of tourists ramming beaches and beauty spots causing traffic and parking problems in rural villages etc. Where we are the Local Authority has had to mark miles of quiet country roads with double yellow lines to stop this.

Fucking links are still not working for me on here but those that are interested can follow this rather disturbing story.
So one of my front line nurse friends did one of her Facebook updates a few minutes ago. Much of this will apply everywhere, not just in our corner of Texas.
***COVID 19 update***
Hey y’all! It’s been awhile since I’ve done one of these, so here goes. I’ve seen a lot of posts about back to school, holidays, mask or no mask etc....
*This is solely my opinion based on what I’ve seen at work since March. This opinion does not represent every healthcare professional nor does it represent my place of employment*
We are seeing good things! Patients are having much better outcomes than they were in March/April/May. As far as surges in cases......this is ALWAYS going to wax and wane. Some days we get our asses kicked with large influxes of patients. Other days there aren’t many at all. Things are getting better, but are far from over. We do still have some people getting very ill with this. We are still compiling data and learning new things all the time.
So where do we go from here? Masks forever? What about holidays? What about our kids etc? I spoke with one of our Infectious Disease physicians about this. His response was to get your flu vaccine in the fall, do good hand hygiene, eat well, exercise, take your supplements, wear a mask in large crowded places, and go on living life as you normally would. You may agree with some, all, or none of that. It’s just info from a trusted physician friend and advice that I appreciate.
What do we know about viruses? They need a host then they mutate and change over time. The COVID of right now may be different a few months from now. Same with flu each year. Every year we get a huge influx of flu patients and it devastates a lot of people. This year essentially everyone with flu like symptoms will also flag as a potential COVID patient because the symptoms are similar. We KNOW this. We EXPECT this. When we see a rise in potential cases at the start of flu season, know that we already knew this was coming .
My only real suggestions are these
1. Don’t panic this flu season
2. A mask may help prevent SOME of the spread of COVID/flu/rhinovirus etc. I think it helps to wear one in large groups of people. I also think it should be a decision you make for yourself and your family not one that your government should mandate
3. Continue all your hand hygiene stuff
4. If you are doing research (which I encourage), look at sources that are peer reviewed. It means their content has been critiqued by other professionals in their field. Look for who sponsored the research and what they may have to gain or lose by the outcome.
5. Just like there are bad police officers, politicians etc, there are going to be some in the healthcare industry that are bad as well and have their own agenda. However, I believe the majority of frontline healthcare providers genuinely care about patients and want nothing but the best for you soooooo please don’t be a turd to us
6. You ultimately need to do what you feel is best for your family. You have that right and so does your neighbor. Please don’t shame someone for wearing a mask. They could have any one of 100 reasons why they are wearing one. Same goes for those not wearing one. Perhaps try giving eachother a little grace and assume the best in others, then go on about your day.
7. Take care of your mental health Make. It. A. Priority.
8. Watch out for eachother. We still have people out of work, sick, struggling in silence. Don’t let them be alone.

Some Scottish bloke got chucked off a plane for not wearing a mask despite being exempt from wearing one.
I'm exempt as well because i have Asthma but i wear one in shops rather than being abused for 'Being a selfish bastard' spreading my germs.
It's not pleasant but it's better than being abused.
I saw a post by the imbecile Cactus Jack on Dogs and he said if he saw someone without a mask, he would take his off and go and cough in their face.
Disgusting bastard and he should have been banned.
Anyway...
It's only a matter of time before someone with breathing/lung problems drops dead because of this, we're more at risk over having our breathing restricted than we are from Coronavirus.

It helps if you can distinguish between something meant literally and something said for rhetorical effect. Perhaps a good job you're no longer admin on Dogs if you'd be hitting the ban button for something like that, it's bad enough as it is what with the two trigger-happy mods on there.

It would have been hilarious watching CJ not being able to back himself up as a guest!!
