Ronnie Biggs, one of the gang involved in what will always be known as The great train robbery, became a bit of a cult figure here for some reason.
He was given a 30 year jail term, escaped after 2 years, went on the run, married, spent the majority of his life as a fugitive, often giving interviews and revelling in his notoriety.
He eventually returned to the UK, was imprisoned, then when he was old and frail, released on compassionate grounds, and eventually died in a nursing home.

I'm reading a biography about David Bowie at the moment. Last night I got to this bit and couldn't stop laughing. I love that old people just don't give a shit.
Bowie was filming the Ashes to Ashes video on a beach down south.
Between takes, this old geezer walking his dog comes along and the Director tells him he can't walk here because they're filming. At the the old guy's stony look he points to Bowie and says, "Do you know who he is?"
The old man says, "Sure I do. He's some cunt in a clown suit".
Bowie later said, "That really brought me down to earth. He was right. I was just some cunt in a clown suit."

I loved Bowie. Oddly didn't appreciate him when I was young, that came later.
I was devastated when he died, he was still making excellent music.
The synchronised moshing did it for me! 🤣🤣🤣 👏🏻👏🏻
No more 'aunt Flo'

I love it. I just played it, OH said, 'Who is Aunty Flo'?
Gotta say, the guy was fearless in crossing that red line
What guy?
@ Diggs…. Syl’s guy.
You would think after 50 years wed he would have put 2 and 2 together....though, it HAS been a while since she came visiting.
He's never met Auntie Flo?
Ain't that some shit?

My new favorite civil rights activist.

I prefer the 'Piss off dude' fellow.
What do you have against BBLs?
Nothing, but I accept I am not as enamoured with them as you are.
Whelp.?
I knew a bellydancer who used a snake in her act. It wasn't for me. I stuck to swords and candelabra
