From dusk till dawn....when I first saw that film I thought Salma Hayek had the nicest figure of anyone I had ever seen.
She is fuller figured now, but still lovely.

I knew a bellydancer who used a snake in her act. It wasn't for me. I stuck to swords and candelabra

I once worked in a Manchester club called The Zoo. Georgie Best was a previous owner of the club when it was called Oscars.
It was mainly disco, but now and again we had an act on. One of these was a belly dancer who brought a bloody big python (I think) to feature in her act. She came dancing out into the audience. Unfortunately the bar area was on a plinth, which she wasn't aware of, as she shimmied over, she fell up the plinth, the snake and she were separated, and people panicked to get away from the bar area.
Thankfully no one was hurt, she regained control of the snake, carried on, and all was well.
I wonder if it was the same lady. This would have been around the mid 1980's.

No, I didn't start dancing til around 1996 and this particular dancer was around in around 2005. I don't mind snakes but wouldn't want to use one in this way. Not fair on the bloody snake!

Yes, the poor snake I saw was probably more traumatised than the crowd who ran away.
I like snakes, have held a few at various wild animal parks....oddly, scared stiff of worms.

Yes, I was testing your ability to spell. 😉

This hat would be far more appropriate.

He certainly is.
Mags, I love your present avi, what is the bird on the right, I know the other one is a robin.
Speaking of birds, I wrote about the wood pigeon who was injured that we took to the vets a couple of weeks ago. It was the remaining one of a pair that had nested every year in our Christmas tree at the back. Well, the tree was lonely, so now, a pair of thinner, obviously younger pigeons have taken their place. They sit together on the same branch every morning when we look out.
Life goes on.

I had to look up what it was it says Robin, but it's different to the other one apart from a orange breast. So I'm not sure, but both lovely though.
Oh how sweet Syl, lovely to watch. Did that pigeon died Syl.
