13c, cloudy and miserable. This has got to be one of the worst spring/summers on record. Though no doubt they will be telling us it was one of the driest and hottest soon.
At least you have some variety in the summer..
Here it's like the movie "Groundhog Day" for 3 months out of the year.
Yep....your climate isn't ideal that's for sure.
The heat I could cope with, but the extremes in temperatures you can get, one day really cold, the next hot, it would be too unpredictable for me.
A steady sunny 25c in the day and a rainy 12 at night would be my ideal.
Then come here in the summer. You will see the same thing day after day.
Spring is really the exciting time of the year. That's when mother nature likes to try to kill us..
Not that heat doesn't kill us, but at least you aren't surprised by it.
I could cope with your constant heat, though I would probably miss our rain....we are never satisfied with what we have.
I'm fine without the extremes. The difference between 93F and 103F, is monumental on your body. I guess it's because our body temperature is 98.6, and as you approach that number your body starts to stress out.
I'd get tired of your rain.
San Diego may have the best climate on the planet.
Highs are between 65 and 85F, about 90% of the time. Enough rain to keep things green, but some sun just about evert day. And a beautiful coast..

That sounds perfect.
The reason we live in such a beautiful country, is because it rains a lot. On the downside, trying to grow certain plants, like the beautiful bougainnvilleas, palms etc, that grow so well in dryer, hotter places, is nigh on impossible.
I do keep trying though.

Probably should pass on trying to grow cactus.

I hate cactus...so that's no hardship.

They're hard to love, since they are so prickly. 😎
They aren't bad on tacos though.

I recently had a bad experience with a cactus.
A garden centre we visited had small ones, I picked a pot up with one in, just to read the info. Unfortunately some of the prickles were actually on the pot. They were stinging my finger, so I tried to suck them out....and guess what, they transferred to my tongue
I honestly thought I might have to get myself to A &E...luckily, after the initial pain (which lasted a good half hour or so) my tongue and lips didn't swell up as I thought they might.
Silly me.

PROPAGANDA- The Met office predicted 3 months of non stop heat less than 4 weeks ago.
They said this is incontrovertible proof of man made climate change & global heating.

FACT CHECK - tax payers fund the Met office £133 MILLION per year & I’ve put the heating on.

We did have a nice summer but you were away and missed it!
It was hotter here than there...but we had 10 days, the 'heatwave' here lasted 2 or 3.
I am hoping the promised summer will be along any week now.
I'm sure you will.
We had a strange yellow glow in the sky earlier....obviously, it didn't last.
June saw more sunshine than average for the time of year!

...except the real headline is actually talking about January!

I actually had the heating on yesterday.
It's so cold and miserable.
