This foreign nutter kicked off harming people because he couldn't get an appointment.
I have been in both the Dr's reception and the MRI when foreigners who can barely speak English demand to be seen.....and they are, unlike people born and bred here who die waiting for NHS appointments.
The message given loud and clear is, threaten people, and you will be seen, if an obstacle is put in the way of their entitlement...this is the result.

People of that generation, which were our parents/grandparents generation, had a completely different mindset to people of today, especially younger people.
They were content with so little, it wasn't much to ask to be warm and well fed.

And didn't they all look so old! I don't think one of them was over 69. What a terrible way to end up. Just goes to show the suffering of older people in those days. There hardly any help.

They looked old because they had hard lives with few comforts.
One lady was in her eighties. She said she was happy to be old as long as she wasn't in anyone's way. That was so sad to hear.

Yep...and in comparison to the younger generation now, our generation is tough. God knows how soft our grandkids, grandkids will be.....if the world hasn't been destroyed by madmen that is.

Yes we are. I instilled lots of values into my girls, who in turn instilled it into their children. That's the only way we can be sure they will carry on with the values, we as youngsters all knew.

So true, however, thankfully (fingers crossed) our kids and grandkids won't know the hardships our parents suffered, so they won't need the inner strength to get them through hard times.
I do think people are soft nowadays, partly because they simply haven't ever had to battle through the stuff past generations have had to deal with.

Very true Syl. Many things are handed to them, no having to go out and make it happen.

You know things are bad when the most despised man in Venezuela is more popular than you are…
” Based on November 2025 polls, Maduro's approval rating in Venezuela was around 21%. Starmer's favourability in the UK was 15-18% in December 2025 polls. Yes, Maduro's was higher.“ https://x.com/grok/status/2007555261787988222

Just when you thought this government couldn't be any more stupid - step forward David Lammy!
"A double murderer who also held a prison officer hostage has been awarded compensation after suffering "severe depression" when he was denied contact with other inmates. Fuad Awale is serving a life sentence for shooting two men in the head in 2011 in what a judge described as a planned "execution".
Apparently being in solitary left the poor lamb feeling 'depressed', so Lammy has given him £7,500 compensation and paid his legal fees of £234,000.
"He claimed this segregation – designed to prevent him harming officers and radicalising other inmates – had breached his right to a private life under Article 8 of the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR)."
Awale's lawyer is Dan Squires, who is married to Sarah Sackman.
Who is Sarah Sackman? She is a Labour MP and Minister of State for Courts and Legal Services at the Ministry of Justice, who's boss is........David Lammy!
Her husband is representing extremists who are bringing cases against her own department! Regardless of conflict of interests, the optics on this are terrible. Another own goal by Labour.

Some MP's, their families, their associates, are lining their pockets and costing the country millions by their double dealings and behind the scenes 'legal loophole' fiddling. It was very noticeable when the Covid enquiries came out, and now, obviously in different circumstances, certain people who are hired tto supposedly help and protect the people of this country, are screwing it, i.e, all of us.

Because he was prevented from mixing with other extremists, including one of Lee Rigby's killers, he took the government to court for 'discrimination' and won!
How mental is that?
