Sorry Red, to me they look like orthopaedic footware.
Air Max are classic trainers!

I know, and no matter the cost, they still look like orthopaedic shoes to me. Younger members of my family wear similar....I don't say so to them, just on here.

@Red - not on tallish women. Also depends on the style of the flats. I’m 5’7“ and this is the kind of flats I wear most days in different colours 👇🏻 (if I’m not in my Chucks)
Flatties are ok for around the house, sitting in the garden etc, but aren't really 'going out' shoes.
I'm an anti-flattie, but am also a bloke - so what do I know!

Try a pair on in JD Sports or Foot Locker - you will be surprised how good they look and feel!

I am 5,8" and shoe size 8 ... I think my feet would look massive, so No, I won't bother.

Don’t be daft - there’s no misandry going on in here! 😂 It’s good to see a bloke’s POV.
Your’re old school, and I get what you’re saying. Flatties can often look too frumpy and boring. Those trainers up there may make me feel like I’m walking on air. But they’re way too fussy and … built-up?… for me. I’d feel like I’m clumping around in those, as I imagine many women over shoe size 5 would. (I’m a 7)
That‘s why I prefer non-platform-sole Low Top Chucks. In bright colours, natch 😎
I agree with Vam, about the trainers, and about welcoming a male POV.
I think flatties can look good on some women, frumpy on others. A bit like mini skirts or crop tops.... some women look great, some wear them when they really shouldn't.

Also, wearing high heels can have its difficulties.

I tend to buy my footwear from Skechers. These are so comfy it's not true. Not my feet btw.
This is the brand I wear every day. I only wear boots when I go out. The rest of the time it's minimalist, zero drop, very wide barefoot shoes. They are the best thing for your feet and far better than walking around with pillows under your feet..
Also way better than heels, although I appreciate that look on a woman.

I could go for that ‘Women’s Laguna’ style - mint green, white sole

If you wear Chucks, your feet can already handle barefoot shoes.
Everyone else would have an adjustment period.

Can you see it now?
They arrived, I have worn them and they are so comfy.
I actually think they are more suited to pants and leggings, wore them with black short length leggings and a mauve cashmere jumper, which I have had for years and handwashes brilliantly. We went to a favourite garden centre today...picked up this lacy necklace/scarf. (brown)..it goes brilliant with that dress even if the boots don't.

Glad you‘re happy with your new boots, Syl
Really nice necklaces too - especially the blue one. Navy blue & black together, is a very underrated colour combination. I often wear silky black T-shirts with a navy blazer.

Thanks Vam.
Those necklaces are £7.99....unbelievably cheap. I get some great bargains in garden centres, I am usually spent up before I even get to the plants.

I still can’t get over a garden centre also selling clothing and accessories - I’d never heard of that before!
But yeah, absolute bargain at £7.99. They look way more expensive.

I love Sketchers for their comfort , including some buckled biker boots, I am not struck on the slipons though.
