For the first time in about 2 months it's raining at my house. I think I see people dancing in their underwear out in the streets.
Just in the nick of time. Dallas had some rolling blackouts today because the grid finally broke at 111 damn degrees..
Tomorrow we will be fine. And next week is even more rain. Everything from the plants, trees, squirrels, birds and humans needed this.
I'm glad you have some relief from the scorching dry weather Maddog.
We have had a mini heatwave here, and I am sick of hearing people moaning...FGS, we have 11 months of dreary, as soon as we do actually get a bit of sun, people moan.
They should be deported to Texas for a summer....give em something to really moan about.

And now we have trees down everywhere from what wasn't really that much of a storm, as storms go.
Our trees were so stressed out from no rain and crazy heat that they were weakened (or dead).
But it's a normal September day here, and I'll be happy.
I follow a couple of Facebook pages out of the UK amd have read the comments, especially about pets and your current heat.
If you can handle it, your yappy little dog will be fine taking a walk around the neighborhood..

The temp according to the car was just 33c....dropped to 31 by the time we got home.
Sadly, it's set to break tonight, Thunderstorms, even hail, is predicted for us later.

I don't know if we had any hail. That's more of a spring thing around here..

It's not that usual here either.
A week or so ago, it actually looked like it had been snowing, then minutes later, the heat came back.
Still 26 here...it's been glorious, you would probably think it was cool.

So hot today up to 33, I think. 27 now phew.
Had a drink in the garden with my family today for my birthday. Had to come in for a while so hot, even under the gazebo.

I was sat outside eating my breakfast, heard sounds all around me, rain was falling on the trees and the grass, yet I was dry.
It's odd how rain can miss little areas.

It's only 60 F for you elderly folk who have memories.
At that temperature it shouldn't be this clammy and oppressive.
So what is really going on here?

15c, damp and dreary outside.
The house is holding onto the heatwave. So hot, last night especially seemed to be so, made hotter because I won't have my bedroom windows open for fears of spiders.

Maybe, but if the windows are shut, it prevents the ones that would use the window to invade my home from entering.
