Our local Sainsbury's must have the laziest security ever. The two of them are to be found gabbing to each other ijust nside the front door, doing sod all, every time I go in there.. There is a cafe bar inside....all goods have to be paid for before entering the cafe.
Today, I sat having a coffee...the security alarm blasts out, this chap walks quickly through, exits the opposite door, arms full of clothes, obviously he was nicking them. I left soon after, the security was in their usual pitch...I asked them if they had heard the alarm going off, they looked blank, I said, someone has just walked out with loads of unpaid clothes, right under your noses.
Fat bastards just shrugged it off. No wonder supermarket prices rise every week.Â

They couldn't careless Syl. They don't want the bother of stopping them! Ridiculous, paid for doing nothing.

The police have released this CCTV of a man they want to question after a wee boy of four had his £60 Christmas money stolen in a toy shop on the 27th of December.
Dougie Wilson was out shopping with his mum when he dropped his money and this thieving bastard made off with it.
Maybe if some of their models (and targeted customers) lost some weight, they wouldn't sweat so much.
When I worked in the clothes shop just after I left school each item came in with one size ten, two size twelves, two size fourteens and one size sixteen.
Sixteen was the biggest and that was 34 years ago, now you can get size 28!!

Lots of people had a Menage for that shop, when one woman came in to spend her money, she would insist we cut the label of her clothes because she took a size 16!!

I don't know if you have them in England, maybe call them something else.
Lots of people had a Menage for that shop, when one woman came in to spend her money, she would insist we cut the label of her clothes because she took a size 16!!
I believe clothes are made bigger nowadays, probably to appease larger sized women who want to kid themselves they are smaller.
I have a few size 10's in my wardrobe now...and I am and have always been sz 14.
If I want a coat or jacket that's bigger...I will go for a 16, some sz 16's are massive, especially around the neck and shoulders.
It's hard to find true sizing in shops now...my motto is, try it on before you buy.

Buying in person is best, I've learned to my cost that buying clothes online for me or Shorty can be a hit or miss.
I still have some size 6 clothes from a few years back when my stomach was playing silly buggers the first time and I lost loads of weight and couldn't put it back on and at 5ft 7in, I looked terrible.
People thought I was anorexic, they kept giving me suspicious looks.
Thankfully I'm not that thin now, I was all bones, it was horrible.

Buying clothes online is a bit of a lottery.
The last thing I bought, a Joe Brown dress, went straight back. Nice dress off, but it just didn't suit me when on.
Vita, my mum went through life hating being so slim, she was always trying to put a bit of weight on, being too thin is not always a blessing.
Â
Just to digress a bit, I watched a programme last night about singer Karen Carpenter, she must have been no more than 5 stone at her worse....terrible tragedy.

The lowest my dress size has ever been is a size 8.  Even then I thought I could have been thinner. Â

My hip bones were actually sharp, arms like twigs and cold all the time.

People would say to me that eating what you like must be great, but it wasn't Syl.
I was scoffing boxes of chocolates, and crisps like there was no tomorrow to try and put weight on.
It was very sad what happened to Karen Carpenter, Lena Zavaroni always comes to mind when i think of Karen Carpenter.
The Scottish girl that won the talent show, she was just four stone at one time and also died young.

Was she not discovered by creepy Hughie Green on a show called Opportunity knocks. That show was a forerunner to the X Factor and The Voice.
I think I read poor Lena Zaveroni was pushed by a very overbearing mother.
