I'm awake.
Just had thunder and lightning which woke me up and torrential rain. I got up to look out the window, it was like a little stream running down the road 😃

Just the usual drab skies and rain here, I think thunderstorms are predicted for later on.
I know one thing, we in the north have had hardly any summer to prepare us for a long hard winter.

My mate in Oz has had the worst Winter, was freezing, and Spring ever. Their summer last year wasn't great either. They're not used to this.

Aussies are not used to the cold. We are set to get down to 12c this week, Autumn has come early.

Met Office issues first snow forecast as 'Arctic air' blast to hit UK
Met Office forecasters are bracing the UK for the first snowfall of late 2024, as an 'Arctic blast' is set to send temperatures tumbling below zero in some regions.
This year's autumn has kicked off with mild and damp conditions, maintaining temperatures around 20C, while persistent showers have left a lingering humidity. Now, the Met Office has signalled a stark shift from the milder weather that has characterised recent months, with a sharp drop in temperatures on the horizon.
A Met Office spokesperson said the encroaching cold will set the stage for snow to fall in the UK, specifically over Scotland. They said: "A cold front sweeping south will introduce Arctic air to the UK, resulting in below average temperatures nationwide this week.
"It's possible there could be some snow on the very tops of the highest peaks in Scotland. We're talking above around 800 meters."

Seriously, our heating has hardly been off this summer.
Not in the daytimes, but every night we have turned it on for an hour...I feel the cold.
Last night we went out, came home about 10ish... I was actually shivering, it was that cold.
Was hot here in South for a while. 30's
