Maddog, do you really think the tariffs costing american taxpayers who can little afford it is a good solid business move? What about the notion that Canada should become the 51st state causing Canada to remove all your produce from their shelves and boycott the States as a holiday destination? This has already cost America millions as Canadians were your most frequent tourists, it will rather quickly cost you billions. Please answer directly , how do these actions help your country when you are losing so much money as a direct result ? When our government royally screws up we freely admit it. I cannot fathom the irrational loyalty.

Where to start? Stocks are down, American taxpayers are footing the bill for all the tariffs, tourism down especially in Canada who are taking all american goods off their shelves. Trump is making his own country pay more for products 4 no good reason citing "he wants to win the financial war against the EU". Do u get told the truth about how bad things are or just that u have always been at war with Oceania?
And let’s not forget that in his first term Mr. Art Of The Deal was responsible for adding an unprecedented 25% to the deficit (around $8billion).
Governor Tim Walz - ” Donald Trump is this caricature that had a reality TV show that pretended like he knew how to run businesses. The reality is, he doesn't….. I think this is how he ran business. He stiffed contractors, he stiffed workers. He doesn't pay his bills. He declares bankruptcy. The one thing is his claim that he's the business president. He is the worst possible business executive that I have ever witnessed “

It's the likes of Musk and Trump who don't pay their way in taxes if they can possibly avoid it.
Yes taxes those financial instruments that enable you to live in a modern society!
It's the likes of them who shipped business out of America to make a few more billions to the detriment of the American people!

Inflation rates (came out today BTW)
Saw a really interesting infographic on what is driving US inflation over the last 12 months.
Looks like things like gas and groceries are stabilising and goods like electronics and appliances are becoming cheaper. On the flip side rent / housing , medical costs, medications and energy cots are still rising. Car insurance has gone up significantly.
The US economy is brutal. Don't get sick or lose your job or you may end up homeless. On the other hand if you hold cash you can make out like a bandit in the next few years. That Warren Buffet knows a thing or two...
What drives inflation is too much money chasing too few goods.
A country borrowing almost 2 trillion a year is creating a lot of new money.
It's why the Fed raises interest rates to attack inflation. Ideally people borrow less. Unfortunately, the cost of borrowing doesn't slow down our political leaders like it does our citizens.

Quite the contrary..

Politics of envy is a typical right wing emotional and meaningless trope!
Expecting people to pay taxes is not politics of envy.
What about these people shipping jobs out then crying and trying to ship them back in?
Typical right wing stuff that.
How dare the people want a job and wages and some kind of standard of living?
You support these clowns of greed in the destruction of your country!
Friday will be quite the day. Basically we operate on small extensions of credit, because we are incompetent..
Anyway, we need to raise our debt limit Friday. The House barely passed the extension earlier this week. The Dems do not like this plan (it's not radically different than the last one, it's just not their plan)..
The can block it, and the government shuts down, and Trump decides what emergency activities are allowed. Or some can hold their nose and vote with the Republicans..

And why get mad at people using the tax law to their advantage.
Get mad at the people who write it, who incidentally are the same useless fuckers who ran up 36 trillion in debt "helping" Americans..

Maddog, you didn't address what u think of Trump's view about Canada being America's 51st state and how it has caused Canada to boycott America in trade and tourism. Do you support losing billions in tourism? Your wonderful country is universally maligined for the needless tariffs and whilst I thanku for being honest in your dislike of them you did not answer if you thought tariffs made sound business sense or not. U often avade answering questions directly regarding your President. How is he currently improving the average american citizen's day to day life..? He is now threatening the EU with 200% tariffs on alcohol. Is it so difficult to admit that Trump is inept and clearly unfit for office, when u disagree with his actions yet relentlessly defend him it appears to a dispassionate observer that you are in the grip of cognitive dissonance.
