Any violence or abuse on none mask wearers is obviously wrong.
This very thread was criticising the way a none mask wearer was treated btw.

Until the current situation changes and/or improves, I liken non-mask wearing as akin to wilfully driving drunk. The ‘cosmahhoomanrights!!’ imbeciles are not only endangering themselves but also others.
I get why some folks might be a bit cynical about how virulent this pandemic truly is. MSM, especially, has a lot to answer for. But even if you’re not totally buying into all the hype, wouldn’t you want to err on the side of caution by wearing a mask for a short while - just in case?

Yes, that's the way I see it.
I am not hurting myself or anyone else by wearing a mask, but I may be if I don't wear one.
Life throws many problems up at us all....this is hardly one of them.

Absolutely Why make an already stressful situation even worse for yourself & others, by refusing to wear a bit of cloth on your face for a while.
Over here, it‘s masks on at all times when in public - no ifs buts or maybes. I’d LOVE to see these ‘mah civull liburdeees!’!’ morons pushing their luck with officers from the dreaded Guardia Civil here!

Don't say it like its a good thing. Some of us have never forgotten this image of Spanish fight fighters protecting the people from the Spanish police

Well from Thursday we are back into lockdown. Not quite as severe as the earlier one but not far off.
Good news is the furlough scheme has been extended till December.

It was inevitable.

Yes, but I don't see what will change long term.
The people who are following the rules will be curtailed even more and the ones who carry on as normal will do exactly the same.
Maybe it's time tougher measures were introduced.

I agree Syl - fines are not enough for the worst offenders such as those who organise illegal raves or so called street 'parties' (used to deal drugs by criminal gangs), it's time for custodial sentences.
