Don’t kill them… a glass and an envelope is all that’s needed to put them outside!
Argh! I can't go near them Pokes .

I love flowers so my garden is full of them for months, hardly any bees or red admirals this year. We used to get loads of frogs and newts, the landscape has changed now, the main pond has dried up, so they are gone too.
Unfortunately, the spiders are still around, especially now spider season is upon us.
Aye and have you seen the size of them?
I think some must be taking steroids, bloody enormous!!
🙄
In Kent they have hobnail boots on, they're huge!
And knuckle-dusters!!
I've been using my spider catcher to put them out, I can put Jenny Long Legs out by hand but not this lot.
My hands aren't big enough!!
😂

We have had three....but what they have lacked in numbers (but spider season has only just started) they have made up for in size.

There was one like that on the bedroom ceiling at 2am this morning. There was OH, wobbling about on the bed, stark naked, trying to scoop it up in a paper roll. I was outside the door, also stark naked, asking him for a blow by blow account of what was happening. He was getting a bit irate, because truth be told, he isn't keen on them himself.

You naked, the mind boggles the poor spider probably needs therapy now
Seriously if I had that in my bedroom, I wouldnt have slept all night incase it had a girlfriend!
Some spiders stay in sheltered accommodation all year while others like to go out during the warmer parts of the year and then return to their sheltered accommodation during the cold periods. Once inside they have to put up with humans. Some caring humans provide food for their spiders (small plastic trays filled with past it vegetation that provides all a small fly needs for it to live, breed and multiply). Spiders have evolved a feminist utopian society.
