I know I have posted this before but Windsor deserved a Bafta at the very least (and so did Michael Bates)- what a shame fucking Cancel Culture has now totally erased this fantastic series from history.
My Grandad used to fall about laughing watching this when I was a young boy as I expect he had seen his fair share of Sergeant Majors in the War - hard as nails on the outside but soft as hell with a huge love for their boys on the inside - real men.
We used to run the world - what the Hell happened that harmless comedy like this is now deemed too offensive to show for the fucking snowflakes?
What a display of blatant poofery!

Brilliant series. There are no more writers to take their places.

I find it sad that all the best comedy series are gone. There's nothing to replace them sadly 😞

There are still some excellent ones.
Just not of the old school variety.

I wonder if they will ever make a remake, though I cant see any surpassing the origal film.

There's several sequels, each one worse than the one before.

I have seen the sequels, they couldn't touch the first 1987 Hellraiser film.

Clive Barker sold the rights after the original hence all the shit sequels, IIRC he now has them back.
A remake in his hands would be wonderful but who would play the Lead Cenobite?
Doug is too old now.

Special effects have improved so much in the last 35 years, I think in the right hands, a remake could be spectacular, and very scary.

Exactly!
But i would rather it be done with practical effects than on a computer screen.
Look how good The Thing still and that was nearly 40 years ago.

Another series airbrushed from history - this was far funnier than the orginal in my opinion.
Eamon Walker was wonderful and became and is a big star in America.
The actors in this scene were clearly having a whale of a time but not very PC is it?
