I think sharks get a bad press....dogs or cows are far more likely to kill you...not to mention humans.
Well, since we spend about .00000001% of our lives in the water, that makes sense.
Brits are not very likely to be bitten by a venomous snake.
Speak for yourself...I spend a lot of time in or on the water.
There are 8,760 hours in a year.
How many of those are you in shark infested waters per year?
Or were you referring to bubble baths?
Pre covid we spent a lot of time every summer out in the dinghy or on the kayaks.
The water was clean, and even warm enough to swim in from June till September.....so there.
Playing with your husband's dinghy on a kayak doesn't count.
We had one each.
I have a paddleboard, which is far more difficult than it looks when you watch other people do it. At least the standing up part.

I tried paddleboarding, just couldn't get the balance right.
The Kayaks were great, I only got swept out once in 6 years....OH was always out, the waves could get pretty big where we were, but those little kayaks were very adaptable.
We sold them (and the caravan) just before lockdown....good thinking as Wales closed their borders most of last summer.

I would reccommend kayaking to everyone, it's exhillerating.

I've done parasailing. That was an experience. We must have gone up 800 feet which is the limit and I remember it was absolutely silent up there, and people looked like dots on the beach. Coming down was a bit unnerving. I hate heights so God knows what possessed me to do it.

I couldn't do that, I hate heights, get wobbly on a ladder 2 rungs up.
I prefer to go down not up....I scuba dived with wild dolphins, that was right up my street.

Good fun for an afternoon, I couldn't make a habit of it, but I bet the kids love it.
For me the peace of kayaking beats everything. In Wales we had dolphins pass us unexpectedly, huge blue jelly fish would float under our kayaks...tentacles drifting out after them...which was actually the reason we bought the kayaks, it was often safer to be on the water rather than in it.

Nothing wrong with being a kid at heart....it's better than being an old fart.
I celebrated my 50th by scuba diving with dolphins in Israel.

Yeah, when I fall off my paddleboard I wonder what sort of aquatic life might be sharing the water with me.
Depending on what body of water I'm in, I share that space with venomous snakes, alligators, stingrays, jellyfish, sharks and an occasional pig. The latter not being too much danger in the water..
While I still appreciate wildlife, you get a different kind of appreciation when you are close enough to it to get fucked up by it.

I wouldn't mind swimming with sharks, most of them are harmless....the rest on your list I would hate....the thought of a pig swimming up to me gives me the creeps.
That is so disgusting I am having to go and sit down in the garden in shock and horror.
Have you no shame?
I am going to complain to whoever is a snowflake little c*** in charge of online stuff now.
