The reason i haven't been around is because of my hands, that horrible, really painful dry skin and hacks came back.
They're a bit better now, well not as painful, i can bend my fingers now.
They look painful Vita, what causes it?
Oh V that look awful. Is it eczema and arthritis? Take care x
Thanks Mags.
I've been covering them in cream and putting my gloves on, it's like loads and loads of paper cuts all over your hands.
Yes it looks it. So very painful. X

Contact dermititis Syl, just have to try and work out what's causing it.
I suppose you have to think back to what you have done, or touched, that has caused the flare up.
I know changes in soap, detergents etc can cause a lot of allergies to flare, but I guess they are the first things you think of.
My OH had something similar once, it's the only time he ever took time off work, the skin on his hands peeled off, and they looked very similar to yours.
It took about 6 weeks to clear, with a variety of prescribed potions and creams...none seemed to help much. He never had another outbreak, so it was a bit of a mystery as to what caused it.

I'm thinking it might be the hand soap I've been using Syl, grapefruit one, I haven't used different washing gel and I had it before I started using the medicated shampoo on Shorty.
I'm using medicated hand cream and guess what, the lid is so hard, I couldn't get it off!! 🙄
Using baby soap now and hoping for the best.

Change of soap can often be the cause, and like you say, you have also used a different shampoo on Shorty, different washing powders or fabric softeners can also trigger odd reactions.
I don't have sensitive skin, but I am prone to cystitis, so I have never used anything perfumed in the bath. Best be safe than sorry.

I've always had sensitive skin, my face was all swollen once after I used a facepack from Boots but the worst was the time I took the allergic reaction to a hair dye.
I was in my twenties then and my mouth and tongue became swollen, then my face and a rash that looked like bruises.
I had to go to hospital, injections and tablets.
My mum is prone to cystitis, avoids various things.
Lemon Barley water can help.

Hair dyes can cause horrendous problems. I know even if you use the same one for years, the advice is to always do a skin test before you apply...I doubt many do though.
Cranberry juice can also with cystitis.

I didn't do a skin test, I just waded in.
I did that for years before I discovered it wasn't a good idea.
I go to the hairdressers now, I'd buggered my hair up so much, I had to have a "peroxide shampoo'
I was in the hairdressers for five hours!!

Sixteen wee Spaniel pups were dumped, if that isn't bad enough.
Today I went clothes shopping, queued as one woman did hers, the woman with her did hers next, she had more! So i went to another till, even worse. Two different women, can't speak English, buying the shop up!
Then got car washed, stuck behind a cement mixer on the road home, spewing out dust and God knows what from his exhaust, all over my clean car. Got home, car shiny, I wiped the dust off, to be told it's going to rain tonight!

Not irritated me but I didn't know where else to put it.
Why would anyone think that looks good?

I agree, we have been swamped with them for too long now, I went off them when the slightly taller one was seen with his mistress ages before he left his wife in the lurch.
No more Mr nice guy, it's all an act.

They should share a room with Sam Smith - the Multiverse would not tolerate such an appalling trio together and they would swiftly disappear into a wormhole forever.

I bet Sam Smith, judging from his interviews, and even his videos, is a very sexually frustrated man/thing.
Yes it looks it. So very painful. X
