I would bet anything that the countries, particularly Asian countries that have a strict airport regime are the countries where the virus isn't heading towards a 2nd wave.
As for some areas having far less infections than others.... it spread. Months ago the south had far more infections, ICU patients and deaths than the north, now it's reversed, but listening to this afternoons update and seeing the graphs, all indications are that the south will catch up....and every area bar one showed the infection rate was on the up in all age groups.

You changed that to particularly Asian Countries. :D
After you saw that I'd mentioned Italy? :D
No I did not...I edited before I saw your post...check the times.

I was just talking to someone who lives in Thailand. There is a mandatory 2 week quarantine for all arrivals there, Thai or foreign. They have been out of lockdown since June with no spikes in infections or deaths....even though they were the 2nd country to be infected.
Yeah I've seen now.
Hence the other post. :D
That's how they say they are doing. Yes.
But I guess we could do what China apparently have been known to do. Drag people around. Beat them up if they break rules.
Maybe some need that.

Ok I'll believe you. I can't be bothered to do a time check by Accurist.
Going to finish watching an episode of the drama FBI soon. Got halfway through it the other night.

Dragging people around and beating them up for not wearing a mask or social distancing could work.
It does seem ironic that (we are being told) China is on top of this virus now and their economy is beginning to thrive again.
They started all this and now they seem to be doing OK whilst the rest of the world is reeping what they have sown.

I go back to my engineered theories from months ago. Many strange things about this virus have occurred throughout. Experts are still calling aspects of it strange. So who knows.
I think the esteemed intellect, Digger, has also been known to mention it being engineered. I think that's the case. So that's also good enough for me.
Goodnight. :)

The Asian nations acted swiftly and decisively and their citizens obeyed the rules immediately and without question.
I have been watching the latest Trump rallies and it's unbelievable how many were not wearing masks and crammed together like sardines - not only is the man a dangerous fool but some of his supporters just beggar belief, especially as no how preposterous and blatant the lie ('we are turning the corner on the virus') they take it as 100% gospel truth.
The US is swiftly heading towards a quarter of a million deaths and still many refuse to believe COVID-19 even exists.

But it's exactly the same here JD, seems more and more people are believing this virus is nothing more than flu so they wont be acting any differently to normal....and they don't even need a Trump to persuade them.

You probably should stop watching those rallies. It seems to get you worked up a bit.

As long as you keep your sense of humour you will be OK.
I don't bleach anything but the loo bowl, cant stand the smell and it makes my hands sore if I come into contact with it.

Same here, but I dilute it in a spray bottle for most things right now though.... Domestos should reward me!

A lot of people seem to believe any old cobblers they read on the net - it's as if we are heading back to medieval thinking in some cases.
Some bloke sat in his pants spouting endless conspiracy shite 24/7 - good.
World's leading medical experts and epidemiologists - bad.
It does my bloody head in.

I'm also sick of online shopping, which is unusual for me.
I don't mind masks though - they're quite nice in the cold weather. It's the covidiots I'm mostly sick of, and the "exemptions".

Hi Rags - yes the covidiots do my bloody head in.
Masks are great because they stop my ugly mug turning people to stone!

Over 9000 deaths worldwide yesterday (easily a new record) with 492 dying in the UK and more than 1200 again in the US - it looks like the second wave will be far worse than the first if things continue to escalate at this rate. :(

The World Health Organisation estimates that between 290,000 and 650,000 people die worldwide every year from influenza-related causes. How many are dying of flu and how many are actually dying of Covid? My father in law died in May but he was never tested. It probably was Covid, certainly sounded like it, but it also could have been flu.
