It seems there more to it than just the above statue - there's another statue featuring the Queen and Prince Philip, a set of gates, gardens, and a glass bridge based on the design of the Queen's wedding tiara.
There's no set date for it to be completed and the cost is expected to be between £23m-£46m - the equivalent of housing asylum seekers for 3-5 days!

I think most people here picked that one. If it looks as good as the artists impression, it will be magnificent.
It's also touching and right, that a statue with both the Queen and Prince Philip will be commissioned. They were a couple from start to finish. Brilliant monarch that she was, she openly said she could do what she did because he was her constant support by her side.

The statue with Prince Philip reminds me of a final scene in a Disney movie - I can imagine cartoon butterflies and bluebirds flying around them while the credits roll.

🥳 Great! That one was always a no-brainer, imo.
It‘s magnificent - and no less than she deserves

…. and there’s this ☺️ Looks good!
CNN —
Queen Elizabeth II’s official memorial in London’s St. James’ Park will feature a translucent bridge evoking the tiara she wore on her wedding day
Oh it's beautiful. What a lovely tribute to our great queen.

I am not a royalist, but it's only right and fitting that the worlds greatest monarch should be honoured for future generations to appreciate in this way. The statue of Queen Victoria in Manchester's Piccadilly gardens, shows a dour old lady sitting on a throne. Thankfully, these latest commissions of Queen Elizabeth are far kinder.

You’re going to love this short video Magica…
” Portsmouth Councillor speaks out tonight, telling how high ranking police officers messaged him at midnight this week to "keep his mouth shut" after a Muslim migrant, staying at a taxpayer funded hotel, raped a young girl in the city!”
”I’m going to be hung, drawn and quartered for this now” - that I can believe.
UPDATE:(there’s another short video in the link)
“PORTSMOUTH CEO has been referred, by the leader of the council, to the HR department to start a formal independent investigation after I requested one on Sunday.
A woman was allegedly raped by a migrant from a home office hotel in Portsmouth. The Chief Executive of the council knew, and tried to pressure me into silence. The public had a right to know. The media told the truth. I believe the councils CEO tried to hide it. Why? “ https://x.com/georgedmadgwick/status/1937908135315882316
Amazing what one decent bloke and a little “publicity” can do. A few clenched cheeks around atm I bet.

Ah yes, that‘s her “We are not amused” face.
Well, clearly, whatever Albert did to the old dear must have caused her some amusement, given that he fathered her 9 children! 😂 I bet she was a very naughty girl in the sack - the Royal role-playing must have been hilarious 😂

Birthing nine children is a high price to pay for being 'a very naughty girl in the sack'.
Thank God for the pill is what I say.

Apparently it was Albert who was more conservative than Victoria. She enjoyed a good rogering by all accounts. But don't we all.
