He's at it again. Tariffs of 25% on automobiles. His goal is for most cars to be made in America I guess and he claimed many jobs will be brought to the States to construct these cars. I don't pretend to know about the automobile industry but I do know prices will shoot up and american taxpayers will bare the brunt of the tariffs. again. Apparently more to follow..in the pharma industry. He got in his usual tiresome digs at the freeload ing EU of course.
Has he actually implemented a tariff yet.
I cant keep up anymore..
And we do pay more for our drugs than Europeans.

Yep, the dapper gent was on hand to produce his pen with a flourish. As for your healthcare system, it's the epitome of madness and greed. People in the UK are shocked to learn u have to pay for an an ambulance. Despite the horrific way our government has deprived the NHS , your system is broken at its core. Do doctors refuse to treat poor and homeless patients? If so, who picks up the cheque ? Prescriptions are free in Wales but i'm not sure if that's the case in all the UK.

Free prescriptions are not really as free as you think. Scotland and Wales just reallocate their funds so that prescriptions are paid for with that funding. So the money has to fall short somewhere else.

And of course, entire American-based car manufacturing plants will just materialise out of thin air!

The point is, the UK amd Europe negotiate deals with drug companies while they charge the American consumer more to make up for the difference..
Like Europe's defense, we subsidize the cost of their drugs..

"United Auto Workers union President Shawn Fain, who has been critical of President Trump in the past, says the 25% tariffs on foreign-made cars is a step to "end the free trade disaster.""
Crazy old world.......
Unions supporting Trump and Republicans are now supporting tariffs..

If we're going to discuss tariffs, let's be consistent.

As a general rule I do. When I state that most EU members have not been meeting their 2% of GDP requirements for military spending, that's a fact..
When I saw EU countries negotiate lower prices for drugs, that's a fact.
When I say US citizens pick up the slack, that's a fact.
If I say that's a shitty arrangement, I'll acknowledge that's just my opinion Yours might be different..

Oh, I've been very data driven on those too. Ours is more expensive, but has quicker service. Our cancer survival rates are much better too..
Let's take knee replacement. There is no question private care costs more..But there is also no question its much quicker..
