A man here was fed up being fobbed off on the phone when he phoned the doctor, apparently it went on for weeks.
He snapped, went down there and splashed petrol around the waiting room and said "Will he see me now?"
It caused a terrible commotion and nobody got to see a doctor because everyone was evacuated.

People are getting so frustrated by doctors not seeing them. It's ridiculous.

It's terrible Mags.
My mum has had problems recently and been for tests, it's to do with her kidney.
She only has one after the one was removed because of cancer, she's been given an appointment for September.

That's ridiculous Vita.
She should complain, her health may not be important to the lazy arsed idiots who are supposed to be taking care of people's health, but it's important to her and her family.

Seems it doesn't matter where you are in the UK, the national health service, especially GP's, are failing their patients.

Since last week she's been trying to phone her doctor, calling as soon as they open at 8am and can't get through.
One time she was 39th in the queue, it's ridiculous.
I can only email my doctor now and don't like doing it because the receptionist reads the e-mails and puts them into lists from important to not important.
I don't want to because it's private.

When I had to call the NHS helpline 111 (the one and only time I ever have) they tried to see if they could get an appointment at my surgery Obviously, as the surgery is worse than useless, they couldn't.
But they did make an appointment for me to go to the walk in centre at the local hospital so I could be seen straight away.
Maybe your mum could try that, explain her past history and her ongoing problems, she needs to be seen now, not in several weeks time.

I have gone into the surgery and requested test results, just couldn't get them on the phone to make an appointment, as they were for my husband they wouldn't tell me, so I sent him down and did get an appointment, turns out he should have had a letter 3 years earlier to tell him to make an appointment - as if -. Now, any letters from GP.s or hospital always get stapled into the current diary and written in the appropriate date. He had no letters.
I had to go in and demand blood tests, the receptionist said you had tests in January, this was June, we both have thyroid problems and should have blood tests every six months. I have the condition that can go rogue even with medication, which it did last year, your heart beats out of sync feels like its having hiccoughs and goes on for hours and you can't do much, any movement makes it worse and you get light headed and breathless. To be fair when I did eventually get an emergency appointment the doctor pulled out all the stops, heart trace, then had to wear a heart monitor for a week, blood tests etc. - still waiting to hear what they found, probably nothing because as far as I know it only happens when the thyroid goes mental. The trick is of course getting a flippin' appointment in the first place.

I'm going to try and get her to be more forceful, it's just ridiculous the way they treat folk.
I spent nearly an hour yesterday trying to order her tablets on their website.
It used to be a good practice but those days are long gone.

Someone was ringing my doorbell a wee while ago (3:40 am)
Aye right, I'll just open the door to Gawd knows who to see what the problem is.
I heard voices not voice and everyone has a mobile so they didn't need to use the phone and if they need a wizz or other, find a bush.
🙄

Did they go away after being ignored?

They did Syl.
We used to get hassle now and again when the old secondary school was there but it's been gone for ages now.
Throwing things in the garden, they were throwing each other in one day.
Another time a boy was hiding in my back garden because bullies had pinched his trousers.
That was nasty, I had to go and get them and report it.

Good for you for helping him.
I saw a nasty bullying incident once, a group of lads had another on the floor, they had taken his school blazer. As I walked towards them I saw a couple of men just walk past and not intervene.
It makes me sick when people look the other way when they see incidents like this.

You are lucky Vick, since being down here I have been trying to register with a NHS dentist to no avail.
Not great because five of my fillings have fallen out and I have to take bloody painkillers all day and another one is very loose. :(
Phil.

Hello JD!!
Keep trying, I I phoned every dentist in the West of Scotland before I found one.
In the meantime buy some 'Orajel" only £3:50 and it's marvellous.
Takes the pain away in seconds and last for hours!!
