I've known some bad weather in my time but this is something else, it's actually frightening me.
The house is shaking!!
My biggest concern is for my little dog.
The Greenhouse is torn to shreds and is now upside down, wheelie bins have emptied and I have someone's shoes in my garden.
A rare Red Alert has been put in place for parts of Scotland.
Wow, that's frightening Vita.
Hopefully the worst has passed by now, Take care cleaning up in case there is glass around.
My thoughts are with everyone who has bore the brunt of this.

We've had a number of short power cuts and about 3.a.m I managed to save a fence panel that was about to fly free.
Bins all had rocks put on the lids last night so I only had other peoples plastic bags to deal with.
Got a couple of builders bags that'll come in handy.

Vita is about to get it again but worse! Won't be as bad for North Wales as the last one.
It's a bit daft all this naming of each storm.
In the past it would have been shit weather for a week or two on and off not oh heck here's another storm!

It's howling out there!
I step outside and it's pretty wild but the main wind is much higher up.
Sounds like jet engines mixed with steam trains roaring overhead.
My chimneys sound pretty loud too!

Everyone is safe and sound, Syl thanks.
It was terrible, it was the worst I can remember.

I don't know who's great idea it was to give them names.
Unless it's bugger off or piss off or something appropriate.

I was terrified of that film when I was wee because of Margaret Hamilton but now it's one of my favourites of all time.

Thankfully the shoes were empty, size eights and in good condition.
Well a bit wet, if they had been a size three I could have with them!!

Good to know you are OK Vita, these winds have been horrible, and I know Scotland has had more than most.
Last night, we were looking out at one of our trees at the back. It's very open there, the tree is about 40ft high now, (it's a Christmas tree, started off in the lounge about 40 years ago) it was bending at an alarming angle...just checked today, the roots look OK.
It's very scary though.

It's freezing in Scotland, I wouldn't be surprised if we got snow.
The trolley was so cold at Tesco yesterday I couldn't get my coin in to get one.

We have 3 or 4 days of some of the best weather on the planet.
Lots of weather warnings at the moment for minus temps and shitloads of snow sometime next week I think.
Forecasts over 24 hrs though are notoriously unreliable so we'll have to wait and see.
Wow, that's frightening Vita.
