No idea who Sam is, but Sir Elton has cranked out some pretty decent music through the years.
50 odd years ago I really liked "Daniel"..

The first CD someone bought for us was Elton John's, Daniel is one of the songs on it. We still play it in the car.

I don't like it enough to play it in the car.
Or anywhere else. But I did back in the day.
I also had a period in my early teens where i really liked KISS. Thankfully that was short lived and the only two KISS songs i would consider playing is "Beth" and Hard Luck Woman"..
And your car has a CD player?

You know, there are streaming services now..😉
I don't even own any CDs to play. Or anywhere to play them..

Lol...do you mean tapes? Nope...well I do, but I don't have anywhere to play them.
I have hundreds of CD's thought, recently bought a Jack Savoretti and a double disk of George Michaels songs.

Whine playlist sounds good Vam, there are some fabulous songs on here. Hope you have this one. One of the favourite of the year.

👍🏻 I already had that too, Syl.
I love ‘big’ music I can shriek to when I’m driving (and when I’m alone in the car, obviously 😂)

Yes, 8 tracks were the precursor to the cassette. Cars used to have 8 tracks players, at least over here.
Meanwhile, in my music collection..........
"Amazon Music has over 100 million songs in its main catalog, available through both its Amazon Music Unlimited and Prime Music services. Amazon Music Unlimited includes access to high-fidelity options, such as HD, Ultra HD, and spatial audio, with a catalog of over 100 million lossless songs and millions more in Ultra HD quality."

Is it 100 million songs?
Can you carry them all in your pocket and play them on any speaker with Bluetooth?

I don't have to, I play them in the car, and I am never driving long enough to listen to 100 million songs.

Anyway, my favourite CD at the mo is my beautiful Savoretti one, and amongst all the great songs, I never get tired of listening to this one.

Quantity is very different to quality.
You can keep your 100 million songs, they probably all sound the same anyway if they are country...I will keep my carefully collected over the years CD's...and enjoy my music that way.

Good for you.
I open my glove box, select the CD I want to listen to, put it in the player, and enjoy the music....it's all part of the experience.
A bit like preferring to read an actual paper book rather than listening to an audio book or looking at the pages on a gadget.
You do it your way and I will do it mine.

It's not like that at all.
It's like watching movies on your VHS player instead of accessing the internet through your TV.
But if you want to keep up with all of your entertainment in a physical state, be my guest..
