Late by a few days but everyone in town country and village around here
is getting ready for the worse even down to parking their cars differently or even elsewhere.
The forecast though keeps changing every few hours.
Are you old enough to remember this... I was 11 and loved it!

I remember them both....I doubt we will see that much snow this winter.
It seems nowadays the media make a big song and dance of a few flakes

It would freeze the arse off you here.
Very cold and frosty, we had snow on noo years day.
It's supposed to get colder over the next few days.
On a side note...
Will need to start a new thread soon cause it's 2025.
Doesn't seem like anytime since I started this one.
Freezing here too Vita, try to keep warm.
Last year went so quick, I have added 25 to the thread title, so need to start a new thread.
Thanks Syl.
Time goes so quickly.
I can't believe I'll be taking my tree and decorations down on Monday, seems like no time since I put them up.

Vita, apart from us, you are the only one I know who keeps to the 12th night tradition.
My OH insists it's on Sunday though, and depending on when you start the countdown it can be either Sunday or Monday.

There is snow around today, not as much as expected.
I just saw a BBC outside weather report, the presenter was stood in the snow, demonstrating how thick it had fallen. It was obvious the snow had been piled up there to clear the road....they must think the viewing public are stupid.

Polar Vortex arrived in N. Texas yesterday. Dropped the temps 20F in about an hour and this morning it was 20F. Saturday night we were dining outside without coats.

That's around -6, blimey, that's colder than it's expected to get here this week.

Very cold in Scotland but no snow.
The wheelie bins keep freezing shut and it's a bit slippy underfoot.
Feeding the birds each day.
I'm not buying anymore dried worms, they scunnered me something terrible.

I've got my big hoodie on just now and Shorty has her wee jumper on.
The heating comes on soon, can't have it on all day though.
I bought my dad a big hoodie too because the cold makes his arthritis worse.
