Thirty years ago today, 96 football fans never returned from a football match.
That was a dreadful thing. I remember those awful photos on the front of the papers. One girl had the blue paint from the fence ingrained on her front teeth.

Can you imagine being the parent, grandparent, relative or friend of one of those people who died, who's faces were on the front covers of the paper as they were pressed up against the barrier? How could anyone ever get over that?

It took me ages to get over it. They were all going purple and congested and their tongues were hanging out with the pressure. The Sun was the worst, and showed the worst photos. I was surprised they did.
The Bradford Stadium fire was the same. It was live on TV, and you could see burning people running out. It was hideous.

It was terrible Digs, I can remember the news about 5 o'clock that day and it said fifty people killed in football tragedy and then on the news later it was 94 people dead.
Then it went up to 95 a few days later and finally 96 people when that lad Tony Bland died in hospital a few years later after the courts ruled he was allowed to "Die with Dignity.

Kenny Dalglish was knighted last year, he deserved it for all he did following the Disaster.
King Kenny and his wife went to all the funerals, four funerals on one day.
As soon as one funeral ended, the police were driving them to another one.

Kenny Dal is our most capped player.
He played 102 times for Scotland and is our joint top goal-scorer with 30 goals.
Denis Law also scored 30 goals.
The Lawman is the only Scottish player to ever be voted the best player in the world.
Kenny Dal was runner up one year "Michael Platini" was the winner.
Danny McGrain and Sandy Jardine were voted the best defensive partnership at one of the World Cups.
Now look at us, we're shite!!
You know you're in trouble when tits like Scott Broon get more than fifty caps.
Lol...does it, I haven't looked.
Good news!!
My cousin's wee granddaughter has finally arrived.
My cousin went to spend a fortnight with her daughter and Toots decided to arrive the day before my cousin was due to come home.
Nice girl my cousin's daughter, her dog was the ringbearer at her wedding.
He was a wee toff in his kilt.
Thanks Syl, they've called her Ruby.
Lovely name, it's one of those old names that has come back into fashion again, like Emma and Kate, it's still unusual though.
What a nice name. Old fashioned like Rose.
I don't know anyone else called it Syl.
I was surprised she didn't call the baby after her Gran, that died last year.
Maybe she'll give her it as a middle name.
Funny enough Digs that other wee baby I mentioned is called "Isla Rose" she gets called both.
