It's very quiet at this time of year - it certainly seems so now.
Very poor taste.
Nearly as bad as Sid Vicious' song, Belsen was a Gas....

Oh was he singing that at the time of the gassings? No, as that would be the type of thing an arsehole would do.

Yes it was in bad taste….almost as distasteful as the many posts on other forums that go unnoticed .

When you used to post regular in the whine many of your posts were in "poor taste". Instead of judging people and jumping all over them try and think WHY people might make a post. Were they tipsy perchance? I'm sure JD regrets making that post.
You always seem to need a poster to target, even if those posters are polite, mounting the moral throne as self appointed judge and jury. Many of your own bullying posts are out of order and someof your avis..could be considered quite unsavory.
Just look to your own behaviour before judging others.

Yes it was in poor taste but a bit of black humour is often the way to deal with such events, I know members of the Emergency services use it all the time.
Far worse things have been said on this thread by others and the silence is deafening - I wonder why?

You really need to change your posting style, I'm surprised you stopped at a mini essay instead of screeds of faux moralising bullshit, which by the way, I'm still not buying Cariad. You must have rebooted your router a few times, after all you are not supposed to be posting here for the sake of your "mental health" but you just can't keep away from the old forums can you.
The difference between me and your little chum is I don't make jokes about thousands of dead Chinese people, which is appalling and racist and after your humongous thread on here about racism on dogs I'm also surprised you are here condoning it instead of calling him out like you did to all of those people posting on there,
So in your own words look to your own behaviour because you are the biggest hypocrite and liar going.

Anyway...……………....I am wondering if anyone will be going anywhere on holiday if the situation re the Coronavirus continues.
I am due to fly off to hotter climes in a few weeks, not sure whether I will be getting there though.

People will always be selective and hypocritical if it suits their agenda . Just ignore.
Police officers often use black humour, it's the only way they can deal with the awful tragedies they see everyday.

Where are you off Syl? Hope you have a lovely holiday
I don't entirely understand the Coronavirus. Is it fatal for anyone who contracts it or just those already in poor health? Why are some people buying 20 thousand toilet rolls and cans of corned beef and others completely relaxed about it all?
Does anyone really know how prominent the virus is in the UK ?

People are stockpiling loo rolls and hand sanitisers because they are selfish gets following the 'I'm all right Jack' way of thinking. There are no antiviral sprays in the shops because some people have bought loads and are selling them for vastly inflated prices on ebay and Amazon.
It's not fatal for most people so far, older people and people with existing medical conditions are obviously more at risk, and cases have had a sharp rise in the UK today from 53 to 87.
Stay safe people....follow government advice ….wash your hands often whilst singing 'Happy Birthday' twice.

The fatality rate varies depending on location but it is currently around 2% and that is for the elderly or those with underlying medical problems.
If you are relatively young and in good health you have virtually nothing to worry about - at least not yet, so ignore all the hysteria in the tabloids.
Live Science explains all the latest COVID-19 news and there is also a very nice in-depth article from the Smithsonian.

I personally wouldn't. It wouldn't be the holiday itself but the bloody air con in the plane that would spread it around.

I usually catch something horrible on planes too....best case scenario is I catch it coming home rather than going.
The main holiday flights like Tui never clean their planes properly....last time I went on a package flight the sick bag in the seat holder had been used....even the air hostess was appalled and I'm sure they are used to the haphazard cleaning between flights.
