. I don't know what that means to my shame , I suspect it's a term for ultra liberal.
Do people who don't spend much time online know what "woke" means? Tbf the orange man IS bad..isn't he?
Digger ..you don't sound like yourself here.:lesson:
Perhaps because you've fucked up the quotes and that's not me

I have noticed that the painting in your avatar used some dark paint so that the artist was obviously a racist and probably also a Christian - so that has left me no choice but to report you to the police for committing a racial and religious hate crime.
Shame on you.

Lol! Seems a bit harsh.
It's Roberto Ferry, his work is quite chilling I think but fair play , the painting had power.
Do you like any art JD or not really your thing?

His work is beautiful. That particular one is called Narcissus, oil on canvas, 2017

I love art and was the best in all my schools at it - sadly life got in the way but I could have made a good living out of once perhaps as a paleo-artist.
My favourite relatively modern works are Munch's series of The Scream and also Bosch's nightmare visions are really something to behold over 500 years later - they must have utterly terrified people at the time (look at the bloke being skinned alive on the lower bottom left for example). :surprise:

Do you still paint or draw JD?
Not with the intent to make money but just for the sheer enjoyment of creating something.

Not for decades - my first and only water colour was a tree frog created for my mother's 70th years ago and before then my first go at ink drawings reconstructions for the Local History Unit.
I know I should start again really but as I say life got in the way.
I would post the bloody things here if I could - they are all on dogs somewhere (someone used their phone for me when all I had was an ancient one) although how you would find them is beyond me.

You need a kick up the bum to START doing the things you once enjoyed.
In life it's so easy to make excuses about why you shouldn't be doing things, it takes a bit of will power to get up and get started.
One day you wont be able to, it'll be too late then though.

CRICKET: As explained to our American friends.
You have two sides, one out in the field and one in. Each man that's in the side that's in goes out, and when he's out he comes in and the next man goes in until he's out. When they are all out, the side that's out comes in and the side that's been in goes out and tries to get those coming in, out. Sometimes you get men still in and not out.
When a man goes out to go in, the men who are out try to get him out, and when he is out he goes in and the next man in goes out and goes in. There are two men called umpires who stay all out all the time and they decide when the men who are in are out. When both sides have been in and all the men have been out, and both sides have been out twice after all the men have been in, including those who are not out, that is the end of the game!

Yet another masterful Spanish 'restoration' job!
https://www.livescience.com/botched-spanish-statue-restoration.html
That is what could be called modern art. Modern is better than the past because it represents progress.
