He was her partner for years and father of her first child...so obviously he favoured her over the others. Florence Ballard was a drinker, that's why (according to many accounts) she was replaced in the Supremes. Ross has been blamed by some for her leaving for decades.
With or without Gordy, she was and still is a great performer.

She was raped at knife point and never really got over it. She drank because she was marginalised in the band she created. That would drive me to drink too, because it was so unfair. Diana Ross is, in my opinion, a narcissist. She turned up at Ballard's funeral in a showy ostentatious limo and made it all about her... and got boo'd by the fans.

She is definitely a diva.
Doesn't tak away from the fact she is a great performer, and at 77 years old she can still deliver some great material.

Most great performers have an ego. I guess it's necessary to give out the Big I Am that people interpret as 'charisma'. So many 'charismatic' celebrities have turned out to be ego maniac rum down bad'uns.
Jimmy Savile.
Bing Crosby (Wife beater).
Mel Gibson - one of his many charming quotes - "You look like a f***ing pig in heat, and if you get raped by a pack of n***ers, it will be your fault."
Bill Cosby.
Mike Tyson
O J Simpson
Chuck Berry - hid cameras in the ladies' rooms of many of his restaurants to film women peeing.
Michael Fassbender - wife beater
Sean Connery - wife beater
Sean Penn - wife beater
The list goes on and on.

Wasn't Chuck Berry accused of under age sex or something with young girls also. I really loved him and his music. Now I can't stand to hear him!😠

I always thought this was one of the most underrated songs of the 80's.
The lyrics were genius and mean more and more the older you get.

Not a new song but I love this one. George Harrison was such an underrated song writer.

I loved that film as a kid, a bit before I discovered Python.
A superbly imaginative masterpiece made on a very low budget - David Warner's costume was simply magnificent for example.

I liked some of the things he did when he was in The Traveling Wilburies.
He was always overshadowed by Lennon and McCartney when he was a Beatle.

Elvis Costello cancels himself.
Another example of bowing to Woke World.
