My brother has Covid and has had to cancel his holidays.
He's had his jags but reckons he must have caught it on the train to Glasgow.
I stopped wearing a mask when we were given the nod but i'd still wear one on the train.
I don't know if he was wearing one, i'll speak to him later.
I send him one of those letterbox get well soon things, i'll phone when i know its arrived.
Getting pamper boxes for men is rather difficult.
Thats bad luck for your brother.
Covid certainly isn't over , my grandson has it again, he had it at Christmas, this time he has felt worse than the first time...he has had all the recommended jabs too as he works for the NHS.
I am back to wearing a mask in busier places. I have to be careful I don't catch any infection after a big op.....it seems to be never ending.
How is your grandson now, Syl?
My brother's feeling a bit better, he's an underwriter and been working from home since the lockdown .
I think they've made it permanent.
He is fine now Vita, thanks for asking.x

This new extending lead.
I took Daisy out for her stroll and changed her into extending lead on her return because she didn't do her business when were out and we still have no fence on one side.
I let it go as long as possible because nobody was about.
Then I was day dreaming and Daisy suddenly goes berserk, I thought it's a damn rat!!
But no, it was a cat and it was like something out of Tom and Jerry.
Daisy was huckled in eventually with her legs dangling and the cat sat back down again.
Aww, he is lovely.
We get as attached to neighbours pets as we do the neighbours.
Mini, the cat who we love, was abused as a kitten. Her owners threw her out when she was around 2 yars old, she just appeared one day, both us and the neighbours looked after her, but we were away a lot, so she got used to staying overnight in their house, then when we were home she would always be at ours.
She is quite vicious, hates being handled by most people, and it comes as a shock to people who try to pet her....she goes for them.
But...we love her, and I am going to really miss her when they go.
It'll be like losing one of the family.

My neighbour (died a few years ago) took in cats that had been abandoned, some of them used to bite.
I think they had been ill treated, one took a chunk out me once but I wasn't angry.
After I lost my Zoe I was thinking of getting a kitten but then there was that advert in the paper that morning "Four handsome male pups" an hour later I was on my way to Uddingston.

Cats and dogs often get on well together.
When I was growing up we always had one of each...their play fights were hilarious, the cats always won.

My daughter bought a rescue pup, she already had a cat. She worried incase they didn't get on, or her cat might get jealous. No problem, they get on so well. She makes a great fuss of the cat and he still sleeps on her bed, so he's happy lol.

Buying an inedible sandwich yesterday....the chicken was like rubber and not cooked through, it knocked me sick.
The shop had been a long walk from where we were, so apart from traipsing back with it, in the heat, it was wasted money and hungry tummy.

I am fine Mags, I wasn't actually sick, the sight of the undercooked, red in the middle chicken was sickening though.

You can't help people if they won't help themselves, but he does have lots of problems and they overwhelm him. I just get annoyed when he's so negative all the time.

It's still there.
It's got a cheeky face.
My next door neighbours are moving in a couple of weeks.

They have a cat, who has adopted us as surrogate parents, and has more or less lived here as well as at their house, for the last 12 years.
They love her, so of course they are taking her with them.
I am quite bereft.

She's beautiful Syl, lovely eyes.
I was sad when my neighbours daughter moved out because wee Frankie was her dog and i was very fond of him and he's Daisy's best friend.
That's him.
