Enough about me, I am happy with my weight...what about you? Over 2 years ago, you wrote...
"I want to lose 20 pounds or so.
I don't have a scale, but I'd like to shed a few inches off my waist.
I feel and perform best around 215-220 pounds."
So, have you lost any weight?
Careful, he’ll do the ”my dad’s bigger than your dad” guff.
I’ve asked the very same question a couple of times and got the very same answer ie silence.
Maybe you should post a pic and let's compare?.
Case proven, I rest my case.

Weight? No..
Body fat?.
Maybe. I wear smaller pants.
Why are you obsessed with weight when it's irrelevant in terms of body fat amd health?
Me obsessed?
Yes you. You speak of appearance. Nothing that actually matters.
Of all the important aspects of health, you focus on shit that doesn't matter..

This was a threat created just to cause dissent I suspect. If you are happy with the way you look and doing the best to make a positive impact on your health it's nobody else's business what you weigh. Well it's nobody else's business anyway! Good luck with the op Syl.

Who's getting their knee replaced and who's put in the work to move ahead without knee replacement?

It quite pisses me off that I have inherited osteoarthritis, I have always been slim (ish) and active, I see obese people who never exercise, and they don't need joint replacements.
I'm hoping to stop at three major ones.
Having a genetic predisposition to something like that can be a bugger - I wish you well for the procedure next week, and I'm sure that those here who care will be thinking of you and sending you positive messages for a smooth recovery.

I do my weights...81b each, one in each hand...so that's 161b's of extra weight I am holding, and it really hurts my knee. So I imagine being a stone plus overweight, is not good on the joints.
Incidentally, I am going into hospital next week to have my other knee replaced. The first was done 11 years ago, and (touch wood) is still going strong.
All the best with that, Syl! You must be so glad to know it’ll soon be over and done with

I keep relatively fit and healthy but my main issue is that I lost all my confidence when I went bald as a coot in my 30s. I think I secretly overcompensate for it by obsessively working out. Yes I always wear a hat out and certainly wouldn’t be seen in any photo without one, but deep down it’s still there.

I'm bigger than I'd like sadly.

If it’s any consolation very few people are happy with their lot, we just have to embrace what we’ve got and accept what we haven’t in the best way possible. Life’s too short.
You’d be surprised at just how many find baldness attractive.
