My Alexa is a free download from Amazon on my Windows 10 and the first job she did for me after installing her was work some mileages out for me that I would normally do myself. I'll have a go later at seeing what she can do for me musically.
I ask her to play artists, what the weather is, use her as an alarm, timer.
She plays the news when I ask, and she will tell me how long to roast Brussel Sprouts.
So...Alexa has just taken the place of a wife?
Well, Shes a lot smarter. Most wives couldn't tell you the capitol of Mongolia followed be the current weather in Brisbane, AU all while playing Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain by Willie Nelson.
Ahhh, but can Alexa make you a nice cup of tea and give you a kiss and a cuddle?....thought not.
That will probably be the 2024 model.

While I kid about it, I am also a bit worried about the future of mankind. A lot of folks will replace human interaction with something not human. That really can't be good in the long run for the species.
