Harry Ramsden potato slices, very tasty that range.
We're going to have to work on your dietary choices..😉
My diet has always been dodgy Madders.
I don't eat fried food though or fruit but I do eat lots of tomatoes and carrots and I'm growing my own cucumbers this year.
The problem with fried food is the kind of oil they use. And often the batter (like fish and chips).
The biggest problem we have is processed food. Thats probably the biggest source of our problems. It also tastes good and is sort of addictive..

What's the best kind of oil, Madders?
My dad loves French-toast and uses vegetable oil, would something else be better.
I'm trying to get him to improve his diet after a recent health scare.
I've started making my own soup in the slow cooker, it's a good investment the slow cooker.

I think the best oil for frying is coconut oil and if you get quality extra virgin it's great for roast tatties in fact roast anything but a bit to pricey for a chip pan.
High smoke point.
No it doesn't taste of coconut.

Don't own a chip pan, Jack.
Most of my food like the tattie slices are done in the oven.
I'm trying to get my dad to eat better and cut down on his smoking but he's stubborn and says I'm nearly 84'
One of the best things I ever did, stopping smoking.
Is your scampi made with scampi or shrimp like American scampi?
I dont think I've ever had real scampi.
Whats the ABV (alcohol by volume) on those IPAs
6 pints would give me a nice buzz on many of our stronger IPAs, let alone a double IPA..
One time i had about 4 Belgian Triples not really knowing what i was drinking. Those will sneak up on ya..
My dad made Barley Wine once and despite it's name, it's actually ale.
Strongest ale he's ever drank he said.
He was actually legless, I mean he was still compos-mentis but couldn't walk.
It was most amusing.
5.5 I only drank 4 of them.
Pints.
Gotcha. I have a local brewery that has one pushing 8%..
Those are pretty tasty, but it doesn't take too many of them.
I had a sausage supper last night.
I love a sausage supper but only now and again.
Those are generally stonger that Cabernet.
I'm not a fan of the taste at all. I like my beer hoppy and that stuff is like cough syrup.
So you took some sausage last night?
Did it show up shrouded in a kilt? 😉

No Madders, just a paper poke and it was delicious
You do see lots of whisky at new year wearing wee kilts though.
They get tooken when folk go first footing.
Erm...
Chicken nuggets and potato slices.

Something I have on average about twice a year.
