My favourite perfume was Chanel 5 and Coco. Still wear Coco, but very strong. It's a night perfume.
Chanel 5 is a day one as well as night, softer scent.
I recently had bought Coco Mademoiselle, It's nice, and I could smell it on me at first, but now its the same as No5....other people can smell it, I cant'.
None of the Chanel perfumes have ever worked well on me. Not even Chanel No.1 (l’eau rouge), which is the lightest of all the Chanel fragrances.
They always smell great on everyone else though! 🤦🏻♀️😂
One relative of mine says every time they smell No5 they think of me...which I took as a nice compliment.
I heard once (could be an old wives tale) that if you can't smell the perfume on yourself but others can, that particular perfume suits your body??
I feel I've offended everyone, I said I wasn't keen on Chanel N'5 and now you and Mags declare its your favourite scent !!! I just prefer other scents, but I don't hate it honest! (panics)
Dont panic, it would be a boring old world if we all liked the same stuff. Variety is the spice of life, and that includes views ranging form scents to politics. x
I know, but I felt really bad then. The reassurance helped so Thankyou xx

And here’s one for any guys who may be looking in 😉
THE best ever men’s cologne I’ve smelled, bar none, is Creed Aventus. A second mortgage might be needed in order to get some 😂 But gawd - it makes me practically swoon every time I have a whiff of it!

I just had a look...for 100m, it's twice as much as my Chanel. ..not sure I would want to pay double the price for OH's aftershave as he does for my perfume.
It's the principle.

Why do I always think to add something after pressing ‘submit’? 🤦🏻♀️
Maybe for a male family member’s milestone birthday, everyone clubs together for a special gift. I guarantee you’ll be glued to his side sniffing him all the time (and so will his OH) 😂

Do you ever find yourself buying clothes you would have bought in your youth?
I recently bought a midi gypsy style tiered skirt, I would have happily worn it when I was 18 and going through a bit of a hippy phase.

Yes I wore those, lovely skirts. Gypsy tops too, although can't see them now.

They are still around Mags, I have worn mine with a strappy top and sandals, thankfully, it would look hideous paired with heels.
I remember in the 70's, I bought a gorgeous floaty off the shoulder gypsy dress, I wore it, but the sleeves kept falling down too low, and were in danger of exposing a bit too much flesh, so I set to work altering it, and I am no dressmaker, I made a bit of a mess of it, eventually I binned it.
A few years later, the same designers made Princess Diana's wedding dress, it was an Emanuelle, probably be worth a fortune nowadays.

Yep, gypsy/boho style in some lovely prints are still around Some styles are timeless.
Sadly, floaty stuff doesn’t really work for my shape. I’m more into a simpler more fitted kind of cut. But I do love colour! There’s an Italian brand (Pucci) that does simply-cut styles, in very soft silk jersey fabrics - and the colour combinations are just gorgeous!
Lots of other more affordable brands copy the Pucci multicolour look, and that’s the kinda style I always like best.
