I agree. We live in a country where people have the right to protest, but not when they are encouraging death and destruction....chanting 'from the river to the sea', in the context they are meaning. They celebrate the attacks on the Jews, but for some, any none Muslim is fair game.
Some vile things have been allowed to flourish on the streets under the guise of “peaceful protest”. But then again we have a Govt that allows selective policing.

Governments...selective policing has been going on for decades, think Pakistani grooming gangs, long before they ever came into the public eye.

The normally proud and defiant French are waving the white flag in the face of migrant terror.
Paris has shockingly decided to dim the lights on its annual New Year’s Eve fête along the iconic Champs-Élysées.
The massive midnight concert that drew a jubilant crowd of a million people last year — with the festivities having drawn throngs to the “most beautiful avenue in the world” for six decades — has been scrapped and replaced by a pre-recorded video to be viewed in the safety and comfort of French living rooms.
Breaks my heart to say it but, wise move, given the current political/ideological climate.

I don't agree.
When the IRA were indiscriminately bombing mainland Britain, as far as I remember, nothing was cancelled, people have to stand up to terrorism, and the only way the ordinary man/woman in the street can do that is live their lives as normal.
In any case, mass terrorist attacks can happen anywhere, on a bus, a train, a shopping centre, a concert for kids, a beach, a place of worship....anywhere.

That man was a hero though, he looked quite elderly too. Another elderly man threw a brick at him as the terrorist more or less sauntered away.
I think that man was shot in the back a couple of minutes later.
47 Hardly elderly
He looked older.
Actually he's only 43.
Yep. Father of 2 and fruit shop owner.
It‘s been reported that after grabbing that maniac’s rifle he hesitated to use it to shoot the maniac, because he‘s inexperienced around guns and didn’t want to risk hurting innocent bystanders.
He’s been hospitalised with gunshot wounds to his shoulder and arm.
A verified legit GoFundMe was set up for him, which raised over $2million so far. Great! He deserves every cent of that

All very fair points, Syl. Caving in shouldn’t be the preferable option, of course.
But Paris is currently highly volatile simmering melting pot of deep anti-immigrant resentment, that could erupt from one day to the next. So, imo, in this particular year - why take the risk? 🤷🏻♀️

I agree...a true hero.
I would love to know what happened to the other brave bystander, who threw a brick at the terrorist, then crouched with the hero as they were being shot at. He looked as if he was hurt, went to walk away, and seemed to jerk as if he had been shot in the back.
I hope he survived, because he was a very brave man too.

I hope so too, Syl More accounts of other people’s bravery in all that chaos, are coming to light.
Unfortunately, this poor couple paid the ultimate price when they tried to stop the older maniac as he was getting out of his car, with a rifle in his hand.

The brave man who threw the brick and was shot in the back was Reuven Morrison. Sadly he didn't make it either.

I know it’s his job, what he gets paid to do etc but kudos to the copper who killed the senior savage. No protective vest, using a handgun he got to about 40 metres (yards?) of them having minimum cover versus 2 rabids with sighted powerful rifles behind a concrete cover.

Reported earlier today that armed Australian authorities thwarted a further planned attack...7 savages stopped, claims made that they were possibly heading to Bondi Beach.
